Staff were all very good during our visit on Monday, especially since we arrived early, having accidentally booked for Tuesday the 14th.
I did say that we would be happy to come back on 14 January to avoid any penalty, so we were disappointed that we were given a car park room instead of the 'Deluxe Room overlooking the Resort' we had booked.
I am aware that the resort accommodation is only new, but there are a few issues that could be fairly easily fixed:
1. signage from reception to the accommodation is inadequate
2. an ice bucket is not much use without ice
3. no guest information folder was provided
4. no facial tissue was provided.
In the club house Brasserie, again the staff were very pleasant and efficient, but the already limited (pub counter style) menu was further restricted because several items were not available.Lasagne had too much tomato, not enough cheese and virtually no bechamel sauce. Accompanying salad was nice and fresh, but had no dressing. BE WARNED - it is 20 km back to Windsor if you want to explore restaurant dining options there.
Bar attendant was working very hard - also waiting on tables and cleaning the outdoor eating area. For some reason, however, she did not pick up the French fried potato chips that were strewn across the middle of the Brasserie floor that were there from the afternoon into the evening.
Since there are tables for those who like to dine outdoors, I do not understand why the doors were open and the air conditioning apparently not working inside. The room temperature was too high and the flies, fattened on kangaroo poo, were very annoying.
