I really enjoyed my stay. It is quiet out of town but not too far of a drive. Mat and Laura we very gracious hosts. The ponds and hiking were beautiful. The view on the hill is breathtaking and I did not fall out of the hammock. I hope I can go back soon.

Sharon, we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us! Even happier that you didn't fall out of the hammock!! Yes, the views are breathtaking here at Cedar Crest Lodge. We are thrilled that you took advantage of not only the scenery, but the hiking trails as well. We look forward to your return!

Everything was wonderful during our stay at Cedar Crest. The room was wonderful and had lots of extras. The dinner was fantastic (my wife said one of the best meals she's had). The grounds were immaculate with flowers everywhere and there were many areas to relax outdoors with incredible views. The service was also over the top with the owners themselves going out of their way to make us feel at home. Overall, we had a wonderful time and were pleased we found this quaint bed and breakfast.

We just returned from three days at Cedar Crest to celebrate our 50th anniversary. The lodge was perfect to house our family. It was so nice to have the entire facility to enjoy. I had so many questions and through the months of planning, Matt and Laura were so patient and answered every question and handled many changes as we planned the event. There was plenty of room for all ages of our group to roam and everyone enjoyed the pool and the s'mores. Our group was all ages and everyone was very comfortable. The beauty of the facility and food far exceeded our expectations. We booked after reading all the reviews and want to add our glowing review to the others. Matt, Laura, and staff were outstanding as hosts and anticipated our every need. They added little touches that made our anniversary so special. One hint that may be helpful: we chose the main dish and asked Laura to choose the side dishes....we were not disappointed. Just one less decision for us to make. We are sad that it is over but would certainly not hesitate to return another time. Outstanding!!!

Room Tip: All the rooms were beautiful with the luxury rooms more 'luxurious' as expected but the lodg...

We had to make a last min trip to Pleasanton due to a death in the family. As I am sure most folks are during those times, we were a bit frantic but were ever so glad to be staying at this beautiful b&b. As we pulled up the drive we were met at the car by the owner and he showed us in, to our rooms and gave us a nice tour of the area. It looks to be very relaxing and we would like to come back under different circumstances. The views from all sides of the main house are amazing, and a light dinner watching he sunset is hard to beat. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful, with incredible flavors and large quantities to start.

I would definitely give it our highest recommendation :)

We are sorry for the circumstance which brought you to our B&B, but we are glad we were able to offer a little bit of solitude during your time of grief. I agree, the views here are amazing and they add so much to the peacefulness. We hope, under better circumstances, that you will be able to visit again in the future. Blessings!

My husband and I were looking for a last minute, relaxing, romantic, couple's getaway. We searched online for a B & B relatively close to home since the decision to go somewhere was very last minute. The majority of the B & B's we found were not exactly what we wanted, and as we were about to give up, we came across Cedar Crest Lodge. Cedar Crest offered everything that we were looking for, and unbeknownst to us, even more! Upon arriving, we were greeted by a breathtaking landscape; a gardener's wonderland! We stayed in the Tuscan Manor Suite, which is spacious, yet cozy; beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, very private, and extremely comfortable. We invested in the 'Couple's Midweek/Weekend Package', which is more than well worth the price, and a definite 'must have,' for the ultimate romance inducing getaway. We were lucky enough to experience breakfast, a picnic lunch, and dinner during our stay, and they were truly GOURMET, DELICIOUS, filling meals, and full of veggies sourced directly from gardens on the property of the Lodge -- a BIG plus! The entire staff is very friendly, warm, and more than willing to help in any way they possibly can. Lisa, the Head Gardener, is exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and happy to provide any information about any of the plants or flowers you may inquire about. The Innkeepers, Laura and Matt, are phenomenal hosts!!! They are incredibly welcoming, kind, generous, and caring towards their guests. I could ramble on and on about how wonderful the Innkeepers and Staff are, how breathtakingly beautiful the grounds of the Lodge are, how scrumptious the food is, how relaxed and decompressed we are now, but instead, I highly recommend experiencing Cedar Crest for yourself. We definitely intend on going back as soon as our schedules will allow!

Room Tip: The Tuscan Manor Suite is essential for a romantic couple's getaway!

A couple of years ago I purchased a Groupon and thankfully discovered this wonderful getaway. Fast forward a few years to my one year anniversary and Cedar Crest ended up rescuing our weekend when the power went out where we were supposed to stay. Matt and Laura are so welcoming and friendly. We stayed in one of the suites...highly recommend the suites. :-) The king bed is so comfortable you will sleep like a dream and never want to get out of it. The breakfast was so good and we loved chatting with couple who were eating with us. All in all I wish we could have stayed another day, and we will be going back again. I shared with a friend about our stay and she texted me the next day saying friends of hers were going there that day...small world. Others are finding out what a great place Cedar Crest is and will be falling in love with it as well. :-)

We spent a night at the Cedar Crest Lodge and the experience was amazing! If you are looking to "get away from it all", this is the place to do it. Though the weather was chilly for April, we took a walk along the beautiful trails around the property. We loved the landscape surrounding the lodge, especially since it sits on 100+ acres. We stayed in the French Quarter room and it was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The huge Jacuzzi tub was a plus. My boyfriend had flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, and champagne waiting in the room. We also had the most amazing dinner brought to our room by the innkeeper, Laura, who was fantastic. The chicken was the best I've ever had! We had to leave early the next morning and miss what sounded like a huge breakfast, but Laura was nice enough to pack us up some delicious muffins and coffee. We definitely plan to come back to Cedar Crest Lodge. It was one of the most relaxing weekends we've had,and it's not too far of a drive from the metro area.
