“Great country escape!”
Reviewed February 23, 2016 for a stay in December 2014

I went here with my grandchildren and daughter and son-in-law for Christmas.
The house is set far from the main roads and very private which is great for children!
The garden is huge and has lots of land, we were lucky enough to see a family of deer in the garden on Christmas Eve which felt really magical!
There is sky television in the sitting room and also again in the bar / pool table room which is great for everyone! Lots of fun to be had here!

“Charming house also for children”

Went with 2 sons and thier 3 teenagers. ( 9/10/11 old). The children had a fantastic time with the visits to the goatfarmer living next to the house, the pingpong table in the barn ( so also availble when raining) and the pooltable. Their are 5 rooms all with new double bed ( all looked brand new). There is 1 ensuite room with shower and toilet. There is also a bathroom with bad, and a separate toilet. At the basement there is another shower with toilet, the poolroom without windows , a. Bar , and a room with washing machiine and large deepfreezer. The kitchen is very large and cosy . The table can be enlarged so that 8 people can be seated. There is a large oven , a microwave and a large fridge. In the liivingroom one can find a box plenty of dvd's ( but not for children), a piano, tv+ dvd player,. At the fireplace one can put some wood for the colder evenings.
We went each day of the week tvisiting the environement : Mont st Michel, the dinosaurus park next to the MSM , the manufacturing of bells in Vieux..., the D day musea , the American cimetary " etc and of course the large beatifull beaches.
Conclusion ': this charming house offfered us a fantastic holiday and we certainly would book it again if we spend our vacation in Normandie.

“a wonderful hidden gem!”
Reviewed July 18, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

This beautiful home was beyond our expectation. Surrounded by open green field with blue hydrangeas, berries and other wild flowers, we felt right at home. We had a charming visit with our neighbor, the goat cheese farmer. He showed us his farm and spent a great deal of time explaining the farming process. Our kids loved spending time with the baby goats! Location is a bit away from things but it served as a great base for us to visit Mont St. Michel, D-Day beaches and Brittany. Highly recommend it and if we ever come back to this area, we would love to return to this lovely home again.

“Gorgeous house in beautiful, peaceful surroundings.”

We spent a week in this lovely house and would very happily return. The house is beautiful, very clean and comfortable. There are four good sized double rooms and a single room. The pool table, table tennis table and WiFi were all very much appreciated by all the family. The local area was lovely for an afternoon walk, with a supermarket and restaurants within a fifteen minute drive. A car is a must, but there is plenty of parking to accommodate this. There is no passing traffic and there are views of the countryside for miles around. We would highly recommend.

“Beautiful house and location.”

We spent a wonderful week in David's house which we cannot fault. The house had everything you could need and our 5 children were kept entertained playing pool and table tennis as well as watching Sky TV. We had been given easy to follow instructions on how everything worked and so we were comfortable using the heating, hot water etc.
The location of the house is beautiful being down a small road with absolutely no passing traffic, and the garden had plenty of room for the kids to play. There are great views from all of the windows and it was lovely to sit and have breakfast looking out across the fields with the sun shining in..
We had day trips out to Bayeux, Granville, Mont-St-Michel and Dinan, and the D-Day beaches which were all within an easy drive.
I can strongly recommend a visit, only 4 hours from euro tunnel and great value for money.

“Peace, space and natural surroundings make an idyllic rural Normandy retreat.”
Reviewed March 27, 2015 for a stay in December 2014

The farmhouse is spotless and comfortable and has bags of character. Younger members of the family enjoyed the games room and bar, while the older ones stretched their limbs in deep sofas upstairs in front of the log burner.
Long country walks are a perfect wind-down.
Tip - get all your groceries and fresh produce at the supermarket en route. There is also a delightful family restaurant within a few minutes' driving.
