The hotel was nice. The beds were too soft for my liking. Hotel was pet friendly and offered two queen size beds instead of doubles. Family of four and two dogs. rooms were aging and could use some updating. Staff was awesome.

Great service, rooms are comfortable, very good breakfast (biscuits & gravy, eggs & sausage), at least on weekends when we stay. Have stayed in KC area La Quinta Inns often. This is one of our favorites. Easy to get to, plenty of shopping and dining close.

I had stayed at this hotel several times before for multiple days. the cleanness was awesome, but this time this room was below par. Other hotels chains are in the area for a lower rate. I have had very few below par stays at the La quinta chain. we have stayed at other La Quintas in numerous other states and 90 out of 10 have an awesome time.

My wife and I tend to stay at La Quinta when we can. Its prices are reasonable for what you get, and they generally allow pets. The La Quinta in Overland Park has a nice set up. It's built with an internal courtyard complete with gazebos and a swimming pool. It's a nice place to go and hang out after a busy day out and about. The room was comfortable, too. The breakfast was nice, and offerings varied from day to day. You can take your breakfast outside to the courtyard, too. The hotel offered a lot of complimentary items, too, like free newspapers in the lobby.

Room service could have been a little more thorough, though. Two of the three nights we stayed there, room service finished our room without leaving key supplies like a " Do not disturb" sign. Also, our room's door was tricky to unlock from the outside. I'm not sure if it was the card reader or the mechanics of the door lock, but sometimes we had to try to unlock it more than five times to get in. Another couple staying in the same hotel had a similar problem with their room. Had the hotel not (supposedly) been booked full, we would have asked for another room.

Room Tip: Get a room away from the doors to the interior courtyard. There are smoking sections set up right ne...

I was a little disappointed in this hotel experience. Overall it was okay, but the hotel needs some updating. The shower had areas of mildew that you could tell was just from age and buildup over time. The bathroom was also dim and you could see that one of the bulbs in the light fixture was out. For whatever reason, the shampoo was not being replaced. Upon arrival the shampoo was already half empty and the next day no replacement was given (despite the other products were replaced). I had to get more at the front desk. Also, the iron overheated and burned a hole in one of my skirts after a brief touch of the iron. Noise from the hallway was easily heard and I was next to a nice machine that was noisy when people used it.

I appreciated the large refrigerator and microwave even though I didn't use it. Also, the hot breakfast was a plus.

Kay was VERY helpful. She made our stay here seem as if we were at home, and I would stay here again simply because of her hospitality. After a long day of traveling it was a pleasant surprise to find someone who seemed to care about your stay.

This hotel is a bit run down but clean for the most part. The carpet in front of the refrigerator was soaking wet - obviously a leak somewhere. The hallways looked old - kind of made me leery of what the room was like. However, we were very surprised (especially after a couple nights at Super 8's). Other than the carpets making our socks dirty (yuk!), the rooms were clean & well kept. However, the bathroom faucet was difficult to operate - had to force it up & hit it back down. The size of the suite was impressive - wish we'd had more time to spend there. It was great to be able to invite some old friends over for a visit!! Breakfast was impressive - although we only ate toast & bagels, there was bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles, yogurt, cereals, fruit. Coffee was good & fresh. (I left my cell phone in the room & asked for the card key to go back in the room. One of the front desk ladies was actually knocking on the door to verify we were gone; she said she checks rooms before the cleaning people go in, to check for anything left behind & would have called me. That really impressed me!) It was nice to have an elevator even in a 2-story hotel. Pool area looked nice, although we did not use. I would definitely stay here again.
