“Great place for a quick bite”
Reviewed July 15, 2014

Good food, served quickly. The menu is what I would call American Deli, The service is fast and friendly. I especially like their spinach salad. The deserts are good

“Good Menu, Patio Seating”
Reviewed June 22, 2014

This is a new restaurant in the Corbin Park development. It has a menu similar to Panera Bread's but is smaller and feels more intimate. The covered patio seating is nice, though a little more attention on the designers part (wider awnings on the east side) would have put all the tables in the shade for lunchtime. That's a small quibble as about 3/4 were fully shaded and the others partly shaded. We have eaten there only twice so far, so I can only write about a few dishes. The Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup was very good and much more filling than I expected. Our favorite sandwich so far is the Ham on Pretzel bread. It has smoked ham, havarti cheese and shaved onion slices with stoneground mustard. The combination of the smoked ham and havarti cheese give this a nice smoky flavor. The pretzel buns are large and unless you are ravenous or a big eater, you should probably go for the half sandwich. By default, the side for sandwiches is kettle chips. I haven't looked at the nutrition info on this sandwich, but based on the taste, I would say that if you are watching your sodium, you might have to forgo this pleasure. I have also tried Mom's Turkey on Harvest bread--a nice tasty sandwich starring their Harvest Bread. The Harvest Bread is a tasty, nutty whole grain bread served in thin slices.

The prices seem slightly high for this type of restaurant. You can get a full service meal (lunch special) at many area full service restaurants for about the same price, but of course you do have to add a tip to that. The main appeals are quick service, a good selection of tasty sandwiches, soups and salads and a nice peaceful dining area.

“Good for a quick breakfast.”
Reviewed May 14, 2014

This Corner Bakery Café opened about a month ago and is in the Corbin Park shopping area. We have been to the one in Leawood a few times, but decided to try this one since we were in the area. This is very much a chain restaurant similar to Panera, but with more breakfast options.

We like their panini egg sandwiches, but just like the Corner Bakery in Leawood their panini sandwiches were too greasy for our taste.
