The New Theater is perhaps the top dinner theater in the country. It's been in operation for decades, now, and they've got everything worked out beautifully. Production values are excellent. There's nothing cheesy about these shows! Most productions feature a well-known headliner (often a slightly senior performer from TV) and professional casts. I've enjoyed all the shows I've seen here

Dinner is served before the show, in a semi-self-service format. Salads and starters are brought to your table, then you choose your main meal from fast moving buffet lines. The food is surprisingly good and there are several choices so there's always bound to be something that appeals and you can take as much as you like. Tables are in tiers, so you can always see well no matter where you're located. There are lots of stairs, though, so if you are going with someone who is mobility impaired be sure to make that known to the box office when you are making reservations. Drinks and desserts are extra. Dessert and coffee are served at your table during intermission.

The New Theater is good value. It's definitely less expensive than doing dinner and a show separately. It's also wildly popular and often sells out, so reserve as soon as possible if you want to see a show there.

Our tour company regularly takes groups to New Theater Restaurant for performances accompanied by meals.

Everyone always has a great time

The venue is very accommodating in helping people carry their meal trays. They also have equipment available for those who have a hard time hearing. Very accommodating venue!

Second time in a row where the evening was poor on all levels. Very disheartening that we brought folks from out of town and the evening was not good. Sorry I used to love the NTR

My wife and I have traveled to enjoy this dinner theater a number of times. Food is served buffet-style and is of top-restaurant quality. The variety usually includes a pasta dish, and beef, pork, chicken, and seafood options. They always have a variety of veggie dishes, and often a polenta dish (this is the only place I actually like polenta). Most beverages and dessert are an additional cost, but generally quite worthwhile. As to the shows, we have seen musicals as well as straight stage plays, and NTR always brings in top-notch national actors/actresses for the primary roles. This week we saw "Harvey" starring Charles Shaughnessy, and as always, the show was exceptionally produced and acted, and immensely entertaining. NTR is always a treat, due to the appealing buffet, and the high quality of the shows. There are no bad seats in the theater; we made our reservations on somewhat short notice and were in the next-to-last row, yet the view and acoustics were most enjoyable. For the combination of a great dinner and a great show, NTR is really a top value.
