Amazing! My family were visiting from Ireland and we booked a two-night stay at the resort. We hired a boat on our last day and went fishing on the lake. The place can be described in one word...AMAZING! The area is beautiful, peaceful, and very relaxing. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and extremely accommodating. I will definitely be coming back, hopefully soon, this time with my Amercian family!! .....ps......the fish were plentiful!!!

Room Tip: cabins 3, 4, and 5 all have a lake view!

Our family and friends have been camping at Acorns Resort for over 10 years. We live over 2 hours away and prefer to camp at Acorns Resort. Staff is always friendly and will go out of their way to make sure your stay is memoriable. Son wants to have his birthday party this year camping at Acorns Resort. Can't wait to go and make more memories!

We have been visiting for 3 years now, this was our first time in one of the smaller cabins. Normally we stay in the Lodge, the room at the Lodge is pretty spacious, the small cabins are a little tight, but its very nice to have all the amenities to cook, etc. Lake is great and the property and trails are very nice.

Our family has been meeting at Acorns Resort for 5+ years now - and we have the best time! Great cabins, RV hookups, beach and the views are breath taking! We also rent the pontoon boat and family use the boat slips!

Room Tip: Cabin 6 is great for views, but the newer cabins actaully are better for larger groups because you c...

This is an awesome place! I live in the area and never knew it was here. I love it! I can honestly say I was relaxed and stress free. There is so much to do such as swimming, fishing, camping, boats to rent, jet skies and inside games due to the large beautiful cabins. Thank you soooooo much for the opportunity to enjoy your establishment. I will be back. I would highly recommend businesses planning a retreat here! Respectfully, Julia J.

Our son is stationed at Ft. Riley and is scheduled for deployment in May. We wanted to spend his final weekend with him prior to his departure. With the number of hotels in the Manhattan/Junction CIty area, we didn't anticipate a problem with booking a room. To our surprise when phone calls were made, there were no rooms available...the same weekend we wanted to visit was graduation for the university. We scanned the internet and came across the site for ACORNS RESORT and to our surprise they had two rooms available at their lodge...and what a blessing these two rooms were.
This resort is absolutely a HIDDEN TREASURE! Other than going to the grocery store, we never left the grounds. We stayed 3nights/4days enjoying the fishing, hiking and just sitting around the campfire. We rented a pontoon and spent one entire day out on Milford Lake fishing...and caught a BOATLOAD.
The staff is excellent! Facilities A+ and scenery beautiful. We definitely plan to return when our son returns. Highly recommend a stay at Acorns Resort. Great family vacation for all of us and good time spent with our son prior to his deployment.

Room Tip: We had a lower and upper room...both were excellent. Only difference is that the upper level room h...

50 characters just doesn't give me enough space to describe this property, the cabin we stayed in (#10) or the wonderful people who run this resort in the woods... The cabin is huge- much bigger than the pictures indicate. The rooms are very spacious and spotless with beds that were sooooo comfortable (and I'm picky) with warm comforters. The feeling of absolute solitude just wraps around you the moment you drive around the corner. My son returned from Afghanistan to a grand surprise- a cabin in the woods and his brothers surprised him. 3 brothers over 20 can use up space pretty quickly and they had elbow room a-plenty. Wonderful kitchen....How many times can I use the word "wonderful"? The Army changed our dates for my son's return flight and the incredible folks at Acorn Resorts not only helped make the changes but also helped keep it from draining my life-savings! Many use the words "We Support the Troops" but Acorn Resorts walks the walk and they do it with a smile on their face, a hand held out to shake, and a genuine "We're glad you found us" when you show up. If anyone has something negative to say, my guess is they'd be critical of the Taj Mahal as well. Absolutely Perfect and I can't recommend it more highly. The Weber Clan
