Not only do they make the best apple cider in the world, but you can actually see how they make the cider. Be sure to try the cider doughnuts.

The Louisburg Cider Mill is a family owned and opperated working Cider Mill. they also have the best cider doughnuts I've ever had! Fall is the time to go to see the mill in operation. Many school groups make this a field trip destination. The shop carries items from across the state--locally made cheeses, jerkies, jams and jellies, soaps...etc. Great spot to shop for unique gifts from the heartland.

We visited the Cider Mill on several good recommendations and were a little disappointed. The cider mill, cider, and donuts were really great as advertised but the other attractions were not worth the price. The playground area is fine but nothing extraordinary. The corn maze and pumpkin patch were not worth the price of admission. The corn maze was obviously hurt by the drought and the corn was hardly knee high. The pumpkins were present but there was no real organization to where to go to get there.

We stopped here after the Saturday morning Soccer game. It was a chilly day, in the low 40's. They have lots of vendor booths with many different things to sell. Mostly the usual kinds of things but some local artists also. Lots of food for sale, we did get a large bag of kettle corn ($6) which had just been made. Very disappointing though, small kernels! Watched the apples being cleaned and processed and then donuts being made also. Small store with lots of 'pricey' items for sale. Bought several dozen apple cider donuts ($7.95 a doz). Don't get more than you can eat while they are warm, not very good later on. Because of the chilly weather we didn't check out the corn maize.

we enjoyed our trip to the cider mill and pumpkin patch. it was fun to watch the cider being made and bottled. the pumpkin patch/corn maze and other activities are a bit pricey ($8 per person over 3), but the kids enjoy it and the grownups liked the music (kudos to the pheasant pluckers!). so maybe bring a picnic and plan to stay a few hours.
