We have dined here a few times, including the extravagant Sunday Brunch. Most recently we decided to hit them up during Restaurant Week to take advantage of the package deal. And what a deal it was!
We all knew from past experience that the lobster bisque was incredible and were not disappointed. As our starter course, the bisque is a creamy, rich broth with chunks of lobster to set it apart. It has a wonderful taste and isn't blase as many such bisques often are.
I went with the Atlantic Salmon and it was delicious. Very good taste without being "fishy" as some can be when not served relatively fresh. My wife went with the Filet Mignon and added a lobster tail. She was practically swooning over both of them. We ended with a creme brulee that was average - not bad, not great - simply forgettable.
In the end the Bristol is a very good, dependable restaurant. The service is excellent and the food very good. They serve fresh cheese bread (right off the oven sheet) and it is delicious. But the bisque! It is worth the visit all by itself...
