We love going to sit on their outdoor patio or inside for their happy hour which is all day on Sundays - we always had great service and awesome food - definitely try the zucca chips!

We were visiting Kansas City for the weekend staying in Leawood, KS Found the North restaurant, on a busy Saturday night, we were seated by a nice young gentleman very quickly with no reservation out on the patio ( per our request), several other diners were sitting around us who were waited upon by their staff several times, we were totally ignored, we were given menus when we first were seated, no water, no we will be with you in a second,,,,nothing,,,,,,,after 15 minutes we stood up to leave, and a young man said " thanks for coming hope you enjoyed your meal",,,and we laughed at him and told him we were never waited on...he instantly went to the manager who followed us out of the restaurant wanting us to come back for free appetizers and wine,,I explained the situation to him, he was very polite but we were soured at that point and just left.....

A friend and I were there for Happy Hour during the week. They had a great special -- a bottle of house red or white wine and one (of 3 to pick from) appetizer for $20. They also had half price bottles of wine and several other appetizers at a reduced price. We opted to get a bottle of wine, the Chef's Board and calamari. The Chef's Board included meats, cheeses, nuts, olives, marmalade and bread and it was all delicious. The calamari was served with greens, it was crisp and not overly breaded, also delicious. Total price was about $40! For the two of us there was enough that it ended up being our dinner. The waiter was very helpful and friendly. I'm looking forward to going back!

I have had many great meals @ North. The Delmonico steak was superb, so were the scallops. The staff is always genuinely warm and friendly and very knowledgeable. The local farms and suppliers are sans pareil. The sour cherry trifle dessert is decadent and delicious. Everything is great, including a fantastic Happy Hour menu at very reasonable cost.

Went for first time with husband and 4 yr old at lunch time. Hubby got a pizza that I was not fond of. Crust was thick. Red sauce was different. I ordered the spiral pasta w chicken & mushrooms in a cream sauce. Waiter said was popular dish. It was OK, nothing special & it was $16. Being lunch time and what you get this was expensive. Daughter had very small bowl of pasta that was $6. I don't mind paying these prices if the food was really good but it was forgettable.
