“Specialty grocery store and cafe.”
Reviewed March 12, 2012

Yummy lunches and deserts, coffees, teas, and assorted drinks in the cafe. Store has many specialty cooking items including many meats, cheeses, and breads.

“Great food great people, but pricey”
Reviewed February 15, 2012

I love D&D. The folks that work there are great and extremely helpful. The food is usually awesome. Portions are large (usually too big). Choices change constantly.

I love the Carrot Ginger soup (which unfortunately I haven't see for a year). The grilled vegetables, and the cheeses (of all sorts).

The sandwiches are very good an HUGE. And the food from the grille is freshly prepared and extremely well done.

My biggest complaint is that they decided to go "European" at the coffee bar, so there is only one size cappucino. The way around this is to order a Latte with "Lots of foam" which the baristas refer to as a cappu-latte.

“Yuppie and expensive but good”
Reviewed April 17, 2009

Dean & Deluca is an odd place to me. It is almost like a see and be seen grocery store if that makes any sense. They have a grocery store type section, a prepared food section and a deli area type section. The grocery store section puts in all in prospective when you realize that they don't have many normal grocery store items but instead have an entire area of balsalmic vinegars and another sections of dips. Definitely not a place to pick up your Cheerios. In their deli area they can make you any version of fancy coffee drink you want and charge you $5 for it. The sandwich I had from there was good, the service was almost comically slow, but the ingredients were fresh and the place does have a good atmosphere. I would probably recommend Dean & Deluca to anyone to go at least once just to see what it is like.
