The location is great. Many restaurants (Muncher's!) within walking distance. It's safe.
The room itself was pretty bad. Stain/burn on the blanket (very middle of the bed) indicates that the housekeeping staff either don't care, don't notice, or know that not much can be done.
The single most disappointing thing is that there was a literal hole in the wall (36x18 inches or thereabouts) that had two sheets of duct-taped translucent corrugated plastic covering.
Apparently the hotel is in the middle of adding wall units instead of the current water HVAC system. But, they cut out all the holes in the wall. So, here we had a "skylight" in the side of our wall that the light showed through. Road noises were louder than normal, there was a slight draft. Plus was, if you wanted to stick your hand outside you could have done so without much trouble because the plastic paneling wasn't totally covering the wall.
The fact that there was a literal hole in the wall covered by plastic was a huge turnoff. It's not surprising to have an uncomfortable bed in a Super 8 like this but I was definitely surprised about the physical condition.More
