“Wonderfull dining experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2013

Our dining experience was like a chpped showdown. The chef's creations were inspiring as well as mouth watering. We had a trio special for our main course which consisted of pork tenderloin, scallops and duck on nestled on there own accompanyment. The price was extremely reasonable and the service was excellent. The only drawback was finding parking since it is in a downtown location. I wish I had taken a picture because the food presentation was extrodinary.

“A taste worth trying!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

Menu is eclectic, yet satisfying; from full entrees to appetizers worth sharing. Service is outstanding at the bar or at a table. The prices are moderate and the wine list extensive. Try the marrow with honeyed truffle oil...it's heavenly!

“Great Food and Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

Our daughters gave a gift card to Pachamama's for our anniversary. What a great gift as this restaurant was everything we could have asked for. The service was excellent, the food delicious, and the price was definitely right (free for us with the gift card), but now that we've been there, we'll be back. It's definitely worth the 40 minute drive from our home.

“Good ambience, nice appetizers”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

Stopped for drinks and appetizers, which were very nice, but not memorable. What was memorable was the gale blowing through the bar every time the door opened. We had to keep our coats on!

Looked at the dinner menu- complicated and nouveau, but nothing particularly enticing.

“Good Location, Food Just To 'Too'”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2012

Pachamama's is one of those restaurants that needs to put down the 'infused oil' and just cook good, localvore cusine. What starts out as an intiguing selection ( e.g. fried kale or a ravioli), ends up an over-oiled, too rich dish. Ambitious is a word that comes to mind- and not in a good way. Jazz outside on summer nights is great and the bar is pleasant for meeting friends. Good place to impress dinner guests, especially if they have never eaten in San Francisco, Chicago, or any other major city. They will think it's 'fancy'.

Richard G, General Manager at Pachamama's, responded to this review, December 29, 2012
Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant! We appreciate any and all feedback our customers are willing to provide in order to keep us on top of our game. Ambitions are worthless unless we remain committed to seeing them through from start to finish. All constructive criticisms are addressed in our weekly meetings and daily line-ups, so honestly, thank you for sharing your experience with us. I am happy to hear that you like the summertime patio jazz band! Since you are a fan of the Star Bar, you might be excited to know that we are planning to expand our lounge area into the room adjoining the bar. The redesign should be completed sometime in February.

Sincerely,

Richard Garcia
