The food is pretty fantastic. It's creative, well-prepared, often locally sourced (I don't give a fig for locovore politics, but the freshness *is* fantastic), cheerfully served. Frequent drink specials at the bar (which is only a few feet from many of the tables in this somewhat narrow location) lead to increasingly loud and drunkety shenanigans - which are actually just as bad if not worse coming from repressed middle-aged folks (and a semi-permanent contingent of shrill thirtysomething women) as it is from undergrads, so don't think you're escaping THAT by going to a higher-end restaurant. It gets really, really loud in there by 8 or so, when the drinks have really been getting served for awhile. I tried going with a couple of friends one night and the only person I could hear was the one sitting right next to me. I swear it would have been quieter at Johnny's or the Replay! Still, the food is awesome. And I bet they'd do carry-out.
