Hilton Garden Inn Kansas City
Ranked #7 of 21 Hotels in Kansas City

Even though the hotel was under construction, there was a minimum of inconvenience. The kitchen staff did a wonderful job with the food even though their regular restaurant was closed. They had to use another room totally away from the kitchen, yet the food was fresh and very good. The manager of the hotel helped us with our personal needs for our stay, otherwise we would have been in real trouble since the beds in the accessible rooms are still too high for transferring from a wheelchair. The beds are, according to ADA, to be 23 inches off the floor, but they are put on pedestals which make them entirely too high. We find this at every hotel we stay in, so this was not at all unusual. However, without the helpful staff and manager we could not have stayed there. A BIG thank you for the hotel's personal touch.

They were in the process of renovating the hotel... but it was not an inconvenience. The staff was excellent and attentive. I stayed in a newly renovated room, so the accommodations were nice. Unfortunately, the bed was horrible and was enough to ruin my stay. The standard HGI "sleep number" knock-offs, except it wouldn't adjust... one side stuck on extremely soft, the other extremely firm.

I thought the rooms were very clean and the beds extremely comfortable. I am staying here again the following week and will again the next time in the area. The chef makes great omelets and French toast. The lunches and dinners were above average and fresh daily. I have recommended this hotel to my work companions for their trips in the next few weeks. The only drawback is the location, not the safest part of town and not many place to dine outside the Hotel diner.

For a road-weary traveler who had just traversed 665 miles in 10 or so hours, I truly needed the attention, hospitality, and efficiency that was demonstrated by the staff here. My check-in was quick and painless, the staff was friendly and helpful, the ground floor (although partially under construct) was spacious and inviting, the room clean and comfy.

When I visit KC, I work in the midtown area. Many hotels are available that are closer, but I go out of my way to stay at this location. The staff are very friendly from the bar, restraurant and reception desk. Facilities were new Feb 2014. Parking within 30 yards of reception desk. Good experience.

A fabulous hotel to stay. Bright and cheerful and spacious rooms. Welcoming staff and a sumptuous buffet. In room amenities are also wonderful particularly the microwave. Beds are well made and overall an extremely relaxing experience.

Good hotel great staff. They were under construction which was a little inconvenient but they offered us a couple free drinks to make up for it without us even asking. Rooms were nice. Will stay here again I hope
