“GREAT IHOP!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2011

This Ihop was super delicious!!! Service was prompt! There was a wait because well, it was the weekend, but obviously something was great for everyone to want to go and eat there. The wait was worth it. Definitely will be returning when I pass through town.

“Stay away on Sunday”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2011

The meal and service was great but it took forever to get seated because alot of after church people all had the same idea and it took over 1/2 hour to get seated and then about that long to get your food. Several people descided to eat else where. other than that everything was great.

“It needed this review. POOR”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2010

Nestled between the 2 most expensive motels in Hays, is the IHOP. Generally, you know exactly what to expect. Don't expect it here. Seriously.
When I entered, there were 2 occupied tables. 1 was obviously local, since they never went without attention. Most tables in this section still had hours old food on them. I will assume there was only one waitress and one cook on, but to wait on a total of 10 people at 3 tables, I would have guessed no one was working there.
The food: I ordered the T-bone, medium-rare, which came out pretty much blue. It was flavorless, spiceless, and damn near raw. I ordered it with corn, but apparently the cook decided I needed broccoli instead. Who knows, maybe it was going bad?? For $14 it was the worst cheap steak I ever bought. I guess I was expecting better, since I was in the midwest, the beefeaters paradise. This steak was mostly fat, and was a poor cut of meat.
The service: Mediocre. Slow. I guess it gets rough when you have 2 high dollar motels, which house high dollar people surrounding your establishment. This place was DEAD. Actually, the town was DEAD, and I couldn't find a reason for the exorbitant hotel prices there. NO tourist attractions to speak of. It is definitely NOT a destination.
Also, the menu was not your normal IHOP menu. I came hungry, I left hungry....not happy.
Oh yeah, and if you're not familiar with the town of Hays, you will need detailed instructions to find this dive.
