This restaurant has a reputation for being a bit slow but of course most everything is made on on request and is very good. You can get a California Roll at lunch without wait often, as they sell a lot of those I think, and seem to have a few prepared ahead.
I especially like the crunchy "rolls" with roe on top. Very flavorsome. The rolls are not huge...six pieces, so there is room for dessert. Have not tried the fish sushi, but understand they get it in fresh every day and have heard good things.
We HAVE had better Sushi rolls in big cities, but this is outstanding for Hays. Do plan on going with friends with the thought of a leisurely evening in mind.
