This was an amazing find! I had wanted to stop into the new restaurant for some time and found the opportunity last weekend when I was visiting Goodland shopping with my children. I found out during my visit that the restaurant was formerly named Maria's buffet and the changed the name to Maria's fast food now that it is owned by a former employee. The pride and care the new owner has put into the food and restaurant blew me away. It's located in the middle of a small, 3-business strip mall off the I-70 Goodland exit just past Sonic. The sign on the road says Latino's buffet so don't be confused. It is a casual, order-at-the-counter place which makes it an easy stop when you're traveling. The food was served very promptly and the inside has clearly been freshly redone and it was fresh and airy. The best part of this place is hands down the delicious, well-seasoned food they are serving up. The shredded beef in two of our entrees was possibly the best I've ever had... I almost felt guilty eating it as part of a burrito instead of alone. The burrito was very generously sized and they didn't sacrifice any of the quality. My kids also ate all of their food which never happens. I think my son had two of his rolled tacos eaten before I could even snap a photo. They have asked me several times when we're going back to Maria's and I'm inclined to make it sooner rather than later and bring my husband along this time. I hope the owner's stay in Goodland for a long, long time as it's absolutely the BEST fresh, casual food around! FYI: Pretty sure they also have a great selection of breakfast options as well.
