Poor desk service. The whole building smelled like stale smoke. Evidently they do not have separate floors for smoking and non-smoking. Wi-Fi did not work even after complaining to front desk. They had coffee in the lobby, but it was cold. Had to heat up in microwave.

I'll have to say, the room was clean.

The front desk clerk was not very knowledgeable. We asked to see the room that we would be staying in before we paid and she took us to a room that was occupied...Thank goodness no one was in the room.. We asked for a no smoking room and when we walked in the room had an order and then we found ash trays. It was clean but old. Not a cheap place to stay either.

Reserved a night because of convenience to highway-this was a mistake-any18 wheeler going by at the speed limit (30mph)shook my 3rd floor room as if I was sitting on the sidewalk.
There were hairs in the bath linen, the staff put me on the 3rd floor saying they were booked, (only 10 cars in lot).
I will not stay here again.
To make things worse the outside was being painted with spray guns on a very windy day- the wind has shifted to the direction of my car, and I will have to take legal action if the finish is damaged.
Only the receptionist here speaks english.

older hotel, but rooms have been recently redone. Quite clean and very nice front desk personnel. Surprisingly varied breakfast with some hot dishes along with the normal cold continental breakfast

This hotel is on the old side. The room was very clean. The bathroom was very tiny. The good thing was the sink is outside the bathroom. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The manager on duty the next morning even sat with us during breakfast. Lots to choose from on the breakfast bar. Convenient location to Dodge City attractions. I recommend the trolley ride, the stagecoach ride, and by all means eat the chuckwagon supper in the old western town.

We ended up staying here because all the other motels in the area were booked.
After reading the reviews, we felt fine about staying there.
And it woked out great. Our room was clean and decorated like a Holiday Inn. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were soft. They even had little shampoos and soaps in the bathroom which was very clean.
They also take pets. They offer a movie on demand channel and a nice breakfast buffet, Hair dryers and coffee maker in the room.
There is a mexican restaurant across the street and a DQ right next door.
There was one problem that we encountered. At 1:30 AM. We heard a train with a lound whistle. But, I think if we would have turned the fan on high it may have camouflaged the sound somewhat.
What I was disappointed in the most was the town of Dodge City. Maybe I was hoping it was like Deadwood, SD?
Retaining an old West look. But it is just a large city filled with Walmart and fast food places.
If I pass that way again I would probably stay there. The price is right and it offers everything higher priced places offer.
Happy Trails
