First, the good:
Well we picked this hotel because we have 2 small kids and really needed some separation so everyone could sleep. This hotel does offer actual two-room suites (with a door between), as well as connected rooms. This was a great feature that they don't even have on the website. The rooms themselves are clean and were fairly quiet.

The staff was really great and were very helpful in getting us the rooms and even made a day change for us to come one day earlier.

The location is also really nice. It's right off I-70 (I imagine most people are simply stopping on a road trip, although we were visiting family). There are only a handful of restaurants in all of Colby and 4 or 5 of them are next to this hotel including the travel oasis gas station, so that is convenient.

The Bad:
The hotel definitely feels old, even tends to smell in the hallways and lobby. The little things are really old. The shower was about 4 feet high, the carpet quite old in most places, the internet was slow. Never felt unsafe, or unsanitary, just didn't feel nice either.

The Ugly:
The breakfast was so bad its not worth even eating. The breakfast room was just an old hotel room so it was TINY. Way too small, jammed shoulder to shoulder, no seats. Because its so small they can't even clean it during breakfast so it gets messy. They were running out of food, and because it closed early (9am) everyone came at the same time making it no good.

All in all if you need features (location or the 2-room suites or connected rooms) its safe and clean but old. If you don't need those features, I think one of the much newer hotels in the same strip would be a better choice. I think the words I would use are friendly, old, and average.

This was our first stay in this hotel. The front desk staff was excellent upon check in and we found our room easily. However, after only being there an hour our AC stopped working completely. The staff was right on top of it, and changed us to another room only two doors down. The new room worked great as did the AC.

However, we never could connect to the Hotel WiFi so we used Starbucks which was across the parking lot. Also, the spa jets worked well, but the water temperature was only lukewarm, In both rooms the wall paper was pealing off the walls in the bathroom. Also in both rooms the TV remote was difficult to turn on and off. The other options worked great.

The morning breakfast was very good and the staff member who took care of the area did an excellent job. She was friendly and engaging with many of the guests, and while the food selection was pretty standard for hotels in this category, the nice thing was that we had real plates and real silver. No plastic or styro-foam at all. Check out was also easy. I thought the price was high though at nearly $95 with tax.

Room Tip: We ate dinner at the Village Inn across the parking-lot but the service was bad and the place was a mess on the tables and the floor. I wrote to Village Inn and received a reply stating that it was not there responsibility - so I would encourage you to use the other restaurants that are very close as well. Regarding a room, ours faced the back field and was very quiet

Well, there are not many choices in the little town of Colby but this was one of the better ones. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable, large, easy access parking lot, and coffee shop/restaurant a 1 minute walk away. Air conditioner worked well and we needed it! I thought the rate was high for what we got, $89 plus tax. I would have expected to pay about $20 less. Did not use the indoor pool so cannot comment on that. Their breakfast was quite good and even included fresh waffles.

A very clean place. Great amenities: warm indoor pool, hot tub - both open 24 hours.

Conveniently located with numerous fuel, food, and restaruants nearby.

A smidge high on price, but worth it I guess in the long run.

Staff is friendly and helpful.

Random drop in at 11pm, had room available with good rate ($75 w/ tax.) Room was good, clean, warm and dry. Free HBO and a TV guide is good. Didn't try breakfast but was included in rate. Front desk service was very nice and check-in was easy. Only complaint from the wife was the hard pillows. 3 of the 4 pillows on the bed were hard as rocks, luckily I got the soft one!
