“This IS where the locals eat!”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

If your looking for the most popular place to eat in Colby, this is definately it! Given the few choices for "sit down" restaurants in Colby, this is probably the most popular. Don't let the fact that it's located in a hotel scare you away. No, it's not a fancy mexican themed restaurant, it's just a simple hotel meeting room converted into restaurant seating with the Mexican decor thrown in. BUT- The food and service are ALWAYS great! Chips and Salsa are free, but be sure to ask for the cheese dip, it's worth the extra $3. Try the Pollo Bandido or the Fajitas, they're by far the most popular items on the menu. Large servings and very reasonably priced.

“Great Friendly Service”
Reviewed August 10, 2012

I loved this place. The decor is definitely out dated, but the service, and food make up for it. It had one of the friendliest staff I have seen in a restaurant.

“Pretty good for the 'Island of Colby'”
Reviewed June 29, 2012

This town of 5,000 has only 4 decent restaurants. El Dos de Oros is one of the 4. The food is pretty good if you order some of it. People who like strong alcoholic drinks will love this place. The service is friendly and good. Definitely average food, but that is all there is available in Colby even though the town is on I-70. The town actually has more than would be expected because there are NO towns larger for at least 2 - 4 hours in all directions. We call it the "Island of Colby." If you want to eat out, then El Dos De Oros is a place to go.

If you have been sufficiently deprived of good/great restaurants then you will be pleased.

“Redeeming value for horrible hotel”
Reviewed June 21, 2012

Very decent Mexican food in a world of fast food. It was like eating in the ballroom of an old hotel though

“We should have left when we saw the front entrance”
Reviewed June 15, 2012 via mobile

Front entrance very dirty. Carpet in the restaurant dirty. Curtains that were hanging on the table dirty. Food very bland. Located in an outdated motel. That we would not stay the night.
