We were attending a wedding locally and Liz and Steve very kindly took us to and back from the venue for a very reasonable charge. The room was lovely with everything one would need and some very nice touches.Good quality bed and linen and towels etc.
Breakfast was extremely good and the hospitality was above expectation. Also a lovely setting although as our stay was so brief we did not take full advantage of the garden and local walks which was shame.
Liz and Steve run a very good operation which we thoroughly recommend to others.

Having saved the details of favourite venues from the tv programme, "Four In A Bed", we arranged to stay here for 3 nights into the New Year.

We rang prior to leaving, and the lovely host, Liz, kindly agreed to let us check in early into Room 1, a lovely, large and highly-specified ground floor room, with 2 french doors opening out into the courtyard.
Spotlessly clean and with a large shower and separate bath, and with a remote control for the thermostat, we quickly settled in, sleepin like babies in the huge bed.

Biscuits, a cafetière for coffee in the room, together with fresh milk in the fridge nearby enhanced our stay, and the lovely big English breakfast, cooked to order by Liz (who makes her own bread) tempted us into over-indulgence
The fabulous views of rolling countryside available from all parts of the premises filled our camera's, and even Rudolf has become established in the rear garden; having understandably, refused to leave.

Whilst the rural location of the Old Dairy allows you to 'step-off the grid' for a while, 2 fast Wi-Fi hubs providing BT hotspots enables constant contact, and the code numbers are readily available.

We have taken our time to review the Old Dairy, and, having considered, along with everything else, how it could be improved, we haven't been able to think of anything.

Thank you, Liz and Steve, for our wonderful stay with you, and, as we told you on leaving, we WILL be back ...

We had a 3 night stay here and enjoyed it so much. The Four-Poster room is well-furnished and has exposed brick and beams so it feels very authentic. The views from the breakfast room are stunning, and the property is in a picturesque setting that makes it so easy to relax. There are birds every where and I'm sure the garden is stunning in summer. Liz makes homemade bread every morning, and makes a fantastic breakfast, and has the best vegetarian sausages I've ever had!

Back again to The Old Dairy and standards still as high as ever for this once 4 in a bed winner. My son and I spent a few days here over half term catching up with friends in the area and enjoying the scenery and surrounding countryside. They are now offering evening meals too which is useful if you don’t want to head out from the cosiness of the B&B in the evening (need to pre order). Always a great welcome here, lovely big room and one of the biggest, comfiest beds I’ve slept in in any accommodation, hotels included! Views to die for from the property and Liz directed us to a lovely walk along the local canal this time. We also visited Sheppy’s, the cider producer, this trip and enjoyed lunch in their cafe and a walk round their grounds including the orchards which were bursting with apples and beautiful. Another cracking stay, we will be back! Thank you!

We researched the best place to stay in the area and this came up tops. We were a little disappointed as we arrived at 4 45 and check in was not to 5 30. We stayed in the car till then despite Steve being in the courtyard but not acknowledging us until we went to check in again at 5 30. Liz soon made up for that and upgraded us to a lovely room - she was the perfect hostess!! Lovely lady. We went to have a shower and noticed there was no toiletries whatsoever in the shower/room other than a small bar of soap. We noticed in the hallway there were toiletries and this was to be shared between us and other rooms -Bizarre? On the plus side the room was lovely, setting lovely, gardens really nice and breakfast very nice.
