Hotel Las Brisas

We loved this hotel! Rooms were actually quite big, and clean; nicely decorated and with warm colors (not that you need them in South America anyway! but still...).
The A/C did just the job, cooled the room in no time and wasn't noisy at all.
Bathrooms were big as well and clean enough...
The best part of our stay was the food and swimmingpool. The pool was very clean, surrounded by trees and flowers, we found it very relaxing; you can see the RN-12 in the close distance.
Breakfast: great selection! Bear in mind that Argentine breakfast is not a big meal.
Dinner: phew, orgasmic! Huge portions, and probably they have the best meat around!
The waiters lacked professionalism, but that was compensated by their customer service skills and smiley faces.
The only downside of our stay was the musty/humid smell in the bedrooms (just leave the window open while you go for a milanesa at the restaurant :))
We are looking forward to our 3rd stay in this hotel!

Room Tip: Open a window as soon as you get there

This was intended to be an overnight stop on our trip back home. The hotel is right on RN-12, about 60km South of Puerto Iguazu. In order to ensure a good night’s sleep, we had reserved a double room in the “Superior” category. The hotel’s website speaks of rooms nicely decorated with native hardwoods, nice views, as well as other added amenities of the “Superior” rooms. Upon arrival at night, we were quickly checked in and taken to our room and found ourselves in a tiny, humid and somber room. The bathroom’s walls were covered with mold, the toilet and shower had evidently not been cleaned, and the bathroom window was wide open, thus explaining the presence of various mosquitoes. In the bedroom we found beds that had in fact been made, but certainly the sheets were not fresh. The wall air-conditioner was at the end of its useful life and very much resembled a departing 707. Additionally, the parking was amongst trees and vegetation next to the road, thus not inspiring much trust to park our car. To make a long story short, we left after 15 minutes, but certainly advise strongly against this place, which probably even represents a health hazard.
