“PARADISE IN KERALA”
Reviewed July 17, 2010

We found Vedic Village on the Internet and chose it as a destination to unwind after a hectic week of Marraige. We were a bit apprehensive as neither of us had seen the place before, but right from the moment we checked in the experience at Vedic Village was awesome.
Firstly the location ,on the banks of the Periyar river is picturusque. The Resort has been very well designed and each cottage has a fantastic view of the river and yet there is absolute privacy.
The facilities available such as the swimming pool and recreation facilities are great. Each cottage has been thoughtfully designed and it not only reflects traditional kerala architecture and also has all the modern amenities you could ask for.
The food is excellent and you just cant have enough of the delicacies especially the seafood.
There are a host of activities awaiting you such as Boat ride on vedic Village's private boat across the periyar right upto the Mouth of the Arabic Sea....A walk along the island...visit to the Cherai beaches....not to forget the Kodungaloor Temple,Marthoma Shrine and Cheraman Perumal Mosque.
The staff at the Vedic Village are extremely courteous and ever willing to help to make the guests feel at home.Every single request however small it may be is attended too
Last but not the least the owner Mr.Sabu personally attends to each guest and makes them feel at home.He is available ever smiling and ever willing to help.
We were honestly sad that four days at Vedic Village had ended and we really look forward to going back there soon.

We were looking for a relaxed vacation in a natural setting. Since we were travelling with our 4 month old, we wanted the right mix of nature and comfort, some place that's not too far from the Cochin airport. Got a strong recommendation for Vedic Village from some known people and couldn't have asked for a better place that met all our criteria.

This serene place situated right next to the water body (Periyar I believe) has a very traditional feel to it. The spacious, clean and well ventillated cottages (we stayed in the king's nest) are a delight. The resort itself is really well maintained.

The staff was extremely curteous and helpful. We had frequent asks for boiled water, sterlizing baby bottles etc and they were ever so obliging. Got to savour some authentic Kerala food as well. Would strongly recommend the fish fry, kerala prawn curry and puttu with kadala curry. The owner Mr Sabu Joseph would personally come and ensure we are having a good time and being taken care. It was quite a pleasant surprise to see such level of involvement and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Great place to visit if you are looking for a nice relaxing break not too far from the city.

It was really nice spending our time in this resort and with the nature. We did not want
to leave this resort, but had to.

Each and every moth of food was fantastic. The hospitality was excellent. We loved each and every moment of our stay.

The most unforgetable experiences are monlight swimming, candle-light dinner and
the fantastic speed boating. Not to forget the evening strolls on the river side.

The true dream which no one can forget. We still feel sad that we had to leave.

The last, but not the least thing we have to say is that we felt like we were in heaven, each and every moment of our stay there.

We planned our trip to Kerala after seeing review from Trip advisor and stayed various places in Kerala. Our last stay was in Vedic Village and we found the review wrote by other guests are completely true. Thanks to Trip Advisor for updation.

Our children and us enjoyed lovely ambience, pool, food, clean rooms. Staffs are extremly friendly and courteseous which made our children unhappy at the time of leaving the place. Love to be there again and surely recommend our friends to stay.

Home away from Home. My husband and me with our son spent two nights and three days at Vedic village resort which we loved . Our thanks to Mr.Sabu Joseph and his entire team who made us feel extremely comfortable. The food as well needs a special mention as it was delicious and served well.
A rather quiet resort worth it to totally unwind . A nice swimming pool and a wonderful boatride through the backwaters to watch the sunset added to the enjoyable experience. And ofcourse the Ayurvedic massage made it a completely relaxing holiday. The ever helpfull staff was always ready to help, be it transportation, ticket confirmations, sightseeing or even take time off for a chat.
Thankyou Mr. Joseph, Mr. Renjith and your team.

Vedic Village Resorts is the place if you just want to relax and enjoy the beauty of Kerala. The decently built huts face the backwaters and the rooms are very well done. The staff is very concerned and does its best to make you enjoy the stay. If you are a North Indian, they are sensitive to your tastes too! The resort offers speed motorboating which is very thrilling and takes you till the Arabian sea. The approach from the main road is a bit congested but that is not what should bother you. Rather, it gives a feel of the daily life of Keralites.
