This is a very decent watering hole, with a lovely terrace and garden to sit in and the added interest of the pottery shop opposite. We had both lunch and dinner there, and as other reviewers have commented, the service can be a little slow and unpredictable. However, the food is pretty good, and the ambience and welcome is excellent. We were a large group and so had pre-ordered a buffet with chicken and fish, rice and vegetables, which was excellent. For lunch the next day the egg and bacon toasted sandwiches or the chicken mayo sandwiches were both nice. Beware the tea (loose in the pot, no tea strainer) but the coffee was apparently very good. All in all, very much to be recommended in a place where there aren't many choices. As others have said, if you want to visit the pottery, order food and drink first and then visit the shop whilst it is being prepared.
