Our third visit to the old olive bush and we have yet to be disappointed.
Popped in for dinner on a warm summer's evening and the owners had had the good sense to put a gazebo in the garden so that we could sit outside without burning in the sun. Lovely!
I had two pints of well kept Doombar and my wife had a glass of sauvignon blanc. We were presented with the menu and the really pleasant waitress explained that as a special they had a homemade salmon and broccoli quiche. I had the gammon with eggs and my wife choose the aforementioned quiche. It was absolutely bursting with salmon and she said it tasted as good as it looked.
It was served with new potatoes and salad and made for a wonderful summers meal. She followed by devouring the homemade rhubarb crumble and we sat watching the pubs two black labradors play.
All in all a nice meal in a lovely pub in a beautiful village.
Thank you we will be returning.
