My husband and I stayed here out of necessity because we had gone to the nearby Amana Colonies for a weekend trip and had planned to camp. We camped the first night but unfortunately it rained the next morning and our tent flooded so we were forced to get a hotel room. This was about our last stop in a merry go-round odyssey/struggle to find a hotel room as it seemed everyone else was in the same predicament as us. It didn't look like the nicest place from the outside but at that point we didn't care - we just wanted a room.
Overall it was just OK or fair. The bathtub did not appear to have been scrubbed or cleaned very well after the previous occupants. The bedsheets had yellowish (ew!) stains on them. The dining area in the lobby where we had our continental breakfast was painfully small and crowded, with barely enough elbow room for more than 6 or 8 people! The pool was decent but needed a good cleaning. And to get to the hotel you had to drive through the pothole and crack-filled parking lot of the abandoned, falling-apart restaurant next door. It's OK for 1 night in a pinch but I would not stay much more than that.
