We started off missing a light bulb an it didn't improve. Toilet didn't flush, super low shower head, flimsy towels, and more stairs than an MC Esher painting. Smell varies by location. Don't be fooled by the lobby.

My friend and I had a girlfriends get together and spent one night at this hotel. Although it is an older hotel, the carpeting appeared to be new and the room was in good repair. The room was very large and the beds either had foam toppers or new pillowtop mattresses. Although our window faced the parking lot, the room was quiet and very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. When we left, the check out staff was appropriately friendly and seemed to really care about our stay. Wonderful customer service!

Room Tip: Room 145 was quiet and comforable and very large!

I recently stayed here for a weekend retreat (fairly large group of 100+ folks) and was quite disappointed with the decor of the hotel, the quality of the furnishings, and overall experience. Check-in was fairly smooth, not a whole lot of extra care or courteously by the hotel staff. After a few minutes I was able to find my room . . . WARNING if you are disabled or have difficulty with stairs go elsewhere! One must be able to go up & down stairs in order to go through the hallways/entry doors from the conference rooms to the lobby to your room.
Room was spacious but TERRIBLY outdated! I brought a portable DVD player with me in order to have movie night but the TV was at least 20 years old and had no external ports to connect. If you are traveling on business or need a lot of light in your room, you are out of luck here. I had 1 bedside lamp and one standing lamp in the corner. The room clearly showed some wear & tear (walls, carpet were both tired/dirty looking, etc.).
All in all, an interesting place; may or may not stay here in the future.

Room Tip: There is an attached dinner restaurant to this hotel; they are only open for breakfast & lunch.

We had our family gathering for the holidays and we could not have had a better place to do so. We felt very welcome and very much at home. The rooms were incredible, clean and with plenty of amenities to enjoy. Enjoyed the bar afterwards and had a very delightful breakfast. Location was perfect for everyone coming in from different places. Staff very pleasant, kind and knowledgable.
Kids loved the pool, perfect for everyone.
Thank you for making the reunion a wonderful time. see you next year if not sooner.

Room Tip: All rooms are bigger than normal rooms which helps when you have children.

We have had at least four return extended stays during the past few years and each time the experience is more enjoyable. It is our home away from home; a place where we feel appreciated, comfortable and cared for. There is little I can add to my wife's comments other than to say that we have stayed at least 12 months and management and staff attention to detail is exemplary. The location is within walking distance for grocery shopping, restaurants, a large mall and accessibility to major highways. We have no hesitation in recommending Valley West Inn to you all.

Room Tip: Extended stay rooms are perfect for us.

Hotel was very out dated and dirty. When we got there, a guy was fumigating the room next door. I pulled away the comforter and a spider ran away. The hall ways were hot and smelled like urine. We received only two towels for the three of us staying there and one tiny bar of soap. The tv was old and had a terrible picture. Couldn't find HBO even after asking the lady at the front desk three times. I had to walk down to talk to her because the phones didn't work. Never worked the two nights we stayed there. The elevator was old and scary because it was so bumpy. Even after we used the elevator we had to walk up a flight of stairs. I would not recommend this place.

This hotel is old, run down, and generally dirty. The headboards are made of cheap foam, and in our room, there were dozens of holes poked in them. The blankets and towels were stained and the room was generally dirty. There are many other hotels in the area that offer much cleaner and more comfortable rooms at comparable prices.
