Owner description: Lost Island is a tropical getaway hidden in the heart of the Midwest! Have you ever seen palm trees in Iowa? How about mysterious ancient ruins? Walking through the gates at Lost Island will make you feel like you just stepped off a plane in some far away destination. We offer a wide range of attractions for all thrill levels. Enjoy the Wailua Kupua - one of the first hydromagnetic watercoasters in the country! Splash around in Tsunami Bay, race your friends down Ta'Katipo, lounge in a deluxe cabana, or float around the Kailahi River. With over 14 different rides available, it won't take long for you to get lost.

Very good selection of water rides and slides for the whole family. Some think it cost too much but they hadn't been to other places I guess to know how much they can cost. If your kids are too short or not that brave then maybe it isn't worth the price. But some very good water thrill rides for those a bit taller and older. Esp. the water coaster or the blue and white funnel shaped ride! The price for food isn't bad compared to any theme parks too. Free parking! could tailgate and have a picnic.

Funny, I live right by this attraction also, and my boys & I maybe visit twice a summer. The hours of operation are only 10-6 which to me is ridiculous, on a day when the weather is perfect the park is packed and the lines are long. It wouldn't be that bad if it was a little bit bigger and had more space to spread out, but to me everyone's kind of cramped in there. The food is great but expensive. But if you'd like to get your money's worth and plan on going quite a bit, don't waste it by paying daily, get a summer pass and you'll be amazed at how much you will save.

lost island water park is a wonderful facility for the whole family. the only downside is the hours of operation. we think it should stay open until at least 8 p.m. the upside is, it is very clean and well taken care of. something to do for every age.
