We are local to the area and always talked about visiting, but until the break over Christmas, we had never gone. Don't wait any longer!!!! It is so wonderful. Every war is represented in a very interesting and educational way. The dog tags that you are issued, help to make it more of a personal experience. There was a very good movie presentation that reminded me of all the stories my Dad, a WWII vet, had told me. The recreations of things from each war, are very realistic. I especially loved the helicopter from the Vietnam War. The windshield is covered in bird droppings from when it was transported to the museum. They were going to clean it, but the Vietnam vets said that it was the way they remember the windshields!!! So the droppings stayed.
