Menu, decor and atmosphere focus on farm food and fixins. A more sophisticated CrackerBarrel with tastier food (but at twice the price.) Meals served family style sides of slaw, cottage cheese and simple bread basket with a roll and some type of fruit bread. Generous portions. Dinner for 2 = $25. Gift shop. Desserts. Country decor - wood booths or tables in large open dining room. Servers wear overalls. Iowa pork chop, real mashed potatoes, fried chicken, meat loaf, ribs etc. Good soups. Biggest complaint is lack of multiple vegetable options - prefer green beans or corn be available as well as daily choice. Ran out of mashed potatoes when we ate there on a Saturday night.
