The kids loved it! We took a picnic, but made use of the cafe too which was lovely, a nice long walk around the lake with the ducks and a good run around the forest as well, the kids were shattered! We were lucky with the weather but there’s plenty of shelter if you get caught out. We didn’t have a dog but it’s clearly very dog friendly.

We stayed in the castle next to the park, loved the walks with the dog, large duck pond and a few shops, welsh cakes, cafe, the walk extends into the castle grounds and all the way to waterfalls if your feeling energetic, nice quiet and friendly

As we took our doggy with us for a 3 night stay we wanted to go for some nice walks. This country park is beautiful and there are rivers and streams running through. There is also a lovely lake and views to the back of Craig Y Nos Castle hotel. We and Mika loved our walks in this very lovely park. We only had to pay £1.50 for 2 hours parking. I think it was well worth the money.

We went for a walk to feed the ducks, and have fun. Weather wasn't the best but the surroundings were still awesome.
The Café was fabulous. Perfect Latte and the Welsh Cakes were to die for.
Very reasonably priced with a great selection.
Staff were pleasant and helpful

Craig y Nos has been a family favourite of ours for many years with its natural fields, waterways, walking paths and beautiful scenery. Parking fees are minimal and there are great opportunities for parents and children to play outdoor games, have a family picnic, walk the dog and explore what nature has to offer. I would recommend a morning visit to the show caves, just across the road, followed by an afternoon visit to Craig y Nos Park for a family picnic. A perfect day out.

An oasis of peace on the edge of the Beacons. Has been a private residence, a hospital and now a country park. Lovely country walks.

Ok you have to pay for parking, but for a pleasant stroll with the dogs topped off with a very smart coffee shop how could you go wrong.

Spent a lovely couple of hours at the park with a picnic, but when cleaning up our things we noticed there were no bins near the picnic area. I will always clear every bit of rubbish after myself also recycle where possible but after walking back to the car park not only with all our things but with lots of rubbish also looking for some bins we realised there wasn't even one bin in sight, we didn't even see one up by the icecream/coffee shop. Not the best when you want and expect people to keep the country side clean .
