Can’t say enough about this place! As soon as we arrived they bumped us up to the best room in the house free of charge, as it happened to be available. The room itself was fantastic, with an amazing four-poster bed, beautiful bathroom and all the trimmings.

The hosts made us feel so welcome, even providing tea and brownies when we arrived. A first class breakfast in the morning, accompanied by Xenna the dog (they wouldn’t let us take her home though), followed by a dip in the pool.

Great location, five minutes from a lovely country pub and 10 minutes from Totnes. I wholeheartedly recommend Bulleigh Manor to anyone staying in the area, particularly for a romantic getaway!

Thanks so much for a great stay!

Room Tip: Pay a bit extra for the four poster room, you won't regret it.

We have just spent a fantastic couple of nights in The Brooking Room at Bulleigh Barton Manor. Liz and Mark are very accomplished and delightful hosts. They made us feel very special.
The accommodation is splendid and the facilities are terrific too. The location is great: it is less than 5 minutes off the A380, yet seems to be in the middle of nowhere. Perfect for a quiet retreat with quick access back to the outside world.
We have stayed in a lot of B&Bs over the years and usually you get what you pay for. We've made a few mistakes in our time trying to save a few quid, which is usually a false economy. This was one of those rare experiences where we came away feeling we got much more than we paid for.
Highly recommended!

Room Tip: We stayed in The Brooking Room, but we had a guided tour and every room looked great!

I stayed in this fantastic country house for a night whilst in the area on business. That said, by the time I left I felt like i'd been away on holiday. The welcome from Liz and Mark (not forgetting Zennor the dog) was second to none. Liz's homemade baking greeted me on arrival, along with a much needed cup of tea after a long journey. The room was large, excellently decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was substantial- just what was needed to start the day. The house sits in delightful gardens with a breathtaking view of the local countryside. The additional facility of the swimming pool was welcome relief in the current heatwave. All in all I would recommend Bulleigh Barton Manor to anyone and intend to return in due course without my suit, but with my family instead.

Thank you for your really kind review. It was great to meet you and lovely that the weather was so good while you were here, so that you were able to make the most of your stay. Sadly, because of the swimming pool and an ancient well in the garden with steps that lead into it, we are not insured for children under 16. However, perhaps you and your wife might like a peaceful weekend away at some point. We very much hope that you will come back and we will see you again. Best Wishes
Liz.

We have just returned from an overnight stay at Bulleigh Barton Manor and cannot praise it too highly. My husband and I were travelling with our 11 week old puppy and stayed in the self catering apartment so we had our own entrance, which was invaluable with a dog. An offer of cream tea on arrival (sadly we had just had one in Torquay!) and the best breakfast,(in the beautiful garden) we have ever experienced at a bed and breakfast. Nothing was too much for Liz and Mark, and Zennor their dog was a brilliant attraction for our puppy Cocoa. They had exhausted themselves playing by 9.00am the next day! We took advantage of the lovely pool as it was a really hot week-end. The rooms are beautifully furnished and the lovely touch of the fudge sampler, puppy treats for our dog and milk left in the fridge for tea and coffee was so thoughtful. The kitchen seemed completely stocked with everything you would need for self catering and the decor throughout was so very tasteful. Thank you Mark and Liz - hope to see you again over the next month. Cocoa sends his love to Zennor!

We've just finished a week long stay in the Bulleigh Bartin Manor self catering apartment. The location is beautiful, the facilities excellent, the standard of the accommodation thoroughly warrants its four star rating. On arruval we were greeted by the owners and offered a very welcome and delicious cream tea and scones.

In addition to the accommodation we were invited to use the owners Liz & Mark's swimming pool. The have a delightful young dog and welcomed our dog.

The self catering property is only available via Classic Cottages

Thanks Chris and Rosemary for your really kind review. It was a great pleasure to meet you and Sam, I am sure that Zennor really benefitted from a week in the company of such a calm and well mannered older dog! Thank you as well for the heart for the summer house. It goes brilliantly in there, now I just have to get on and finish the project! We very much hope that we will see you all again soon. Best Wishes Liz
