This is just a quick stop, but worth the stop. Amazingly, Floyd was the only person on the Lewis and Clark expedition who died. This National Historic Site includes a nice monument to him, but also a great view of the Missouri River and Nebraska to the west. The grounds are well-maintained too. Some signs explain the relevant history.

Visisted July 18, 2009, on our way to Yellowstone. This made a good stopping point to streatch our legs on our long road trip. The monument is not far off the interstate and is well worth the stop. The views of the river from the lookout are great and you can see really far. The monument is nice and has some history with it also. There is a restroom facility here also.
