Reasonable rate. Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast is very wheat-based, which is very common, unfortunately. Bed okay but prefer alternative to extra warm comforter, which also seems to be the trend in many hotels, now.

Took our son to college and stayed at Holiday Inn Express while we were there. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. Looking forward to visiting again! Highly recommend.

We were in the area for a memorial service and found that the choices are, as you would expect, fairly limited in this rural area. There are several HI Expresses sprinkled around NW Iowa. This one is at the south end of Sioux Center which is a good sized little town.

Check in was quick. The desk agent asked us if we were in town for business. When we told her we were there for a funeral she gave us a small packet of tissues marked with a little sticker expressing their sympathy. I thought that was an interesting little touch. As a Priority Club member I received an "amenity" in the form of a small bottle of water.

Our room on the second floor was not huge, but certainly big enough. Two queen sized beds, a chair and ottoman, desk and desk chair... There is free wifi. It worked well enough with my phone. Neither one of us brought a computer along though. The bathroom is well appointed with plenty of towels and it's actually fairly large. We had a view of the golf course behind the hotel. The air conditioning/heater is an in wall unit as you would expect in a motel, not a ducted system like you would find in higher level hotels. The beds were not comfortable for me...too soft; and the pillows could have used some more support too.

Breakfast was pretty good. Be sure to try the automatic pancake maker. In addition to that there is a juice fountain, cereal, yogurt, bagels, bananas, some hot options like sausages, eggs, biscuits and warmed cinnamon buns. So, plenty of choice and abundance all for "free". Unfortunately the TV was tuned to Fox news pretty much exclusively. But perhaps that was to be expected. There was also a religious message in the room that seemed out of place to us. But everyone in this part of the country is exceedingly nice and quite pleasant. A bit of a change for us city slickers. :-)

I would not hesitate to stay here again if we were ever in the area. It was well-located for where we needed to be plus a short drive from Orange City, Le Mars, and other towns.

This hotel is a few years old, but in excellent condition with tasteful decorating. Rooms were good size and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful when I forgot an item in the closet. The breakfast buffet was a little more than your typical HI Express with scrambled eggs. There was a nice looking golf course behind the property. Excellent location if your child is attending Dordt College, or even Northwestern in Orange City.

This was the second time that we have stayed here. We have had children go to Dordt college in the last few years. Before the Holiday Inn was built, we stayed at the Econo Lodge, which is very clean, but starting to show its age.

Both times we stayed in the king suite. There was ample room for 2 people. They had a small sitting area with a pull out couch and a table with chairs. Also a bar area with small fridge, sink, microwave and coffee maker. They have different pillows on the bed and lable them soft and hard. They left little candies by the bed. We found the bed comfortable.

A good selection for breakfast. Nice size room with big windows. Staff very friendly. Everything very clean.

We stayed at this hotel with my in-laws for a funeral. We both had King suites w/ pull out sofa beds. The rooms were perfect for two adults and two kids per room. We put the kids to sleep in one room and used the sitting area of the other room to relax each night. Breakfast in the morning was very good and well stocked. The wireless internet worked well and the kids enjoyed the pool. This was the perfect hotel for what we needed. Hy-Vee is close to the hotel and their are several eating establishments in town. There's even a golf course right next ot the hotel if you desire.
