Returned to visit family in the area and opted to stay at B&B instead of a hotel. Wished we had done it on previous trips. We were wowed! House was beautifully restored and Ken, the innkeeper, was warm and friendly. The Inn was very inviting and relaxing. Will definitely be back to stay again.

Traveled to Iowa to see the "Field of Dreams" location and stayed at the Black Horse Inn for one night. Very interesting 1856 historical home, beautifully redone entirely on the inside. Everything was spotless and comfortable and Ken, the innkeeper was a delight. Informed us of some good places to sightsee & eat and we learned lots about the area talking with him. He also fixed us a delicious breakfast served by a nice fire to take the chill off the morning. Not sure we will ever be out this way again but we give this place and Ken top notch rating!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Lacrosse Room on the second floor & it was lovely. We toured the whole house & all the rooms were very neat, clean & decorated nicely!

This place and Ken the Innkeeper are unbelievable. Ken treated our whole family like his family. The rooms are beautiful and very comfy. I would stay here again and again. We rented the whole house for family for our wedding. Ken made everything seemless and easy. I can't say enought good things about him and the house. Ken, thank you for making it a very memorable stay for our family during our wedding celebration at Finley's Landing. You rock. Dianne and Shane.

My boyfriend and I love to stay in B&B's when we travel and this place was one of the best. Ken, the Inn Keeper, was friendly and so knowledgeable about not only the house, which has a great history and charm, but the entire area. He filled us in on some local attractions and gave us his card with his number if we had anything we needed while staying there. Not being from the area, it was so nice knowing we had someone nearby that we could count on. The house was beautiful and our room was very cozy and comfy, perfect after a long day. And in the morning, our breakfast was cooked just for us and was sooo good, especially when you can ask for it to be served out on as balcony. I will definitely be staying here again!

Room Tip: We have no trouble with stairs and so we stayed on the 3rd floor, but there is a small elevator to the 2nd floor (it doesn't go to the 3rd), so if you cant make it up the stairs I would recommend the second floor for easy accessibility, especially for older guests or those in a wheelchair.

Our family recently stayed at The Black Horse Inn for my brother in laws wedding. We rented the entire house to accommodate all of us out of towners and we were blown away by this hidden treasure! The inn keeper Ken was absolutely fabulous and treated us so kindly. The house is GORGEOUS and holds so much historical value. I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast prior to this trip but when the weekend ended I did not want to leave! Thank you Ken for such a memorable time! It is a trip my husband and I and our 3 children will forever cherish!
