Holiday Inn Buenos Aires Ezeiza Airport
Ranked #1 of 1 Hotels in Ciudad Evita
Reviewed January 17, 2013

It s a good hotel if you plan to stay only one day in the city and are going to leave from the Ezeiza Airport, because it is really near to this airport. The room is confortable, clean, has all you need to fell good. The wi fi works well. The breakfast is simple, but with fresh things. The service is just OK, as you will find in the rest of Buenos Aires. But the problem is that the hotel is far from the center, as some 30 min from taxi, so you will lost time and money if you want to eat, go shoping and see some attractions of the city. Near the hotel there isn t restaurants or shopping. Also the other airport of Buenos Aires is naer the center of the city, so distante from this hotel.

Dear lucilion,

Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to leave us a candid review. We appreciate your nice comment regarding cleanliness, wifi- and breakfast.

However, I would like to offer a sincere apology that we are farther to the city center as you had expected. I understand the discomfort this caused you. Again, I do apologize and regret that this impacted your experience at our hotel. While we understand that your stay was not 100% satisfactory, we would hope that you would give us another chance to make your stay as best as it can be.

Sincerely,

Orlando A.

This was a transient hotel for us - given the late booking we made for vacation, we needed a hotel that was near the airport for our return to San Francisco.

We flew in from El Calafate and checked in January 6th @ 1AM (flight was 3 hours late) with a departure of 9PM same day. There were no convenient restaurants at that time - we ate something at the bar that is open 24/7. Nothing fancy.

The room is very nice and well-equipped.

We checked out at 11AM next day and they not only held our luggage for the 7PM trip to the airport, but also booked a taxi at no charge to us for the airport trip. This was great, although I was confused since they have a shuttle running periodically.

The professional nature of the staff was of the highest order and was a great way to end our 1st vacation to Argentina.

While this hotel is not near any tourist sites, it most definitely is a great hotel and perfect for those trying to maximize their traffic efficiency in/around Argentina.

Everything went smooth and professionally. I was pleasantly surprised.

Room Tip: Some rooms face the freeway so pick accordingly. And during January 2013 there was some late morning...

We arrived at 0900 after a 15 hr flight before heading off early the next morning.

Pleasantly, we were allowed to have a breakfast as we were departing early the following morning and wouldn't be around for breakfast the next day.

Our room was large, modern and had a spacious bathroom. The only downside was the coffee filter instead of a kettle and polystyrene cups.

We also took up the option of paying for the onsite Spa, it worked out $150 (£20 each). Perfect after a long flight.

Our meal in the resturant taught us an early lesson, quantity isn't quality. We had 35oz Steaks which were chewy. The cheese starter was nice and the kidneys were like rubber. Not our best meal but sadly comparable with othesr on our trip so far.

This hotel is perfect for a stopover but don't stay for any longer.

This hotel is situated in Ezeiza that is approximately 7km from the international airport. It is a good place to stay overnight for an airport layover and depart early next day.

We landed after a long 15 hour flight at night and had dinner at 10pm. The restaurant is highly recommended with the roast chicken and apple salad which was delicious.

The rooms are big and spacious with a king size bed. We stayed at a higher level facing the back away from the highway so very quiet.

Around the area is nothing except for the hotel so it is only good if you are staying overnight with a flight next morning.

Room Tip: Higher floors and rooms racing the back away from the highway

I stayed at this hotel for two nights because of a flight issue. I believe this hotel is fairly new and it does reflect. The room was very spacious. I had a room with two queen beds even though it was just myself. The bathroom was nice and big as well, and I had no issue with hot water or water pressure. It is true that you can't change the temperature of the room even though there is a switch for it, but it wasn't too bad for me. I stayed at a lower floor facing the freeway, but the noise wasn't bad. I didn't open the window so that might change if you decide to open them.
The gym was small, but the equipment was clean and working.
I ate at both the bar as well as the restaurant. They were ok, not spectacular, but no complaints.
The downside of this hotel is there is absolutely nothing around it except for a gas station. So there is no option to buy beverages or snacks other than inside the hotel.
I would recommend this hotel only if you are flying in or out of Ezeiza. It's quite far from town so if you plan to go visit Buenos Aires I would go stay at a hotel in town.

Having just returned from a two week stay I feel qualified to comment on this newly opened hotel. The hotel is beautifully appointed and the room staff are excellent at attending to the rooms. We stayed on the highway side after moving from the 6th floor down a floor as there was no water pressure and the room over looked a rubbish pile and heavy machinery parked on the section. Noise wasn't an issue although there is construction going on at the end of the hotel on the site. The lack of a pool concerned us and it would have been nice if there was one available at no charge as they only currently have an indoor one which is attached to their spa complex however they are addressing this and are in the process of building an outdoor one.

The front desk was efficient and English wasn't a problem as there was always someone who had a good command nearby. On checkout they experienced difficulty process our credit card due to their telephone lines this seemed to be a problem in other places also, so possibly it is BA wide. However I was very concerned about the taxi service they provided as the driver we encountered on more than one occasion tried to charge us excessively. We booked the free airport shuttle for our departure but it was busy and so they kindly called for a taxi at their expense only for us to once again argue with the same driver at the airport even after we saw the hotel staff pay him when we got into the cab. This is not a good look for this chain and possibly due to it being an airport quick stop hotel this is possibly why this practice was prevalent, I certainly hope they can address this as it leaves you with a very bad impression.

The Mangrullo restaurant was good, but seemed to lack vegetable dish choices and there is only so much meat you can eat. We usually struck the same waiter here who was great and had a good sense of humour and guided us in our choices and especially pointed us in the right direction of some wonderful wine they had on their menu. The 24 hour grill and bar was excellent and this was a gathering place for many. The bar staff were great and very friendly and very professional and the place was kept spotless.

Breakfast certainly let this hotel down, the same choices day after day, I realize that this is usually a short stop hotel but the same dishes of grilled tomatoes, oily bacon and slushy scrambled egg left a lot to be desired. They will also need to work on their timing of replenishment of things they offer at their buffet

Another issue with this hotel is there is nowhere to sit outside, once the pool area opens up this will not be a problem however I found that if I wanted to relax and get some air I was surrounded by others who used the only terraced area on the first floor to smoke when they were using the conference rooms. It was pretty odd sitting outside taking in the sun while rubbing shoulders with those in business suits.

However I would recommend this hotel and once they sort out a few teething problems I'm sure it will be a sort after choice in BA.

Room Tip: I would go for the highway side as there is more to look at and it gets the morning sun.
