Bombfire is a delightfully unusual place, funky and eclectic, creative and open, sometimes crowded, always comfortable and welcoming. This was my second visit to Bombfire but my first time to eat. We were a table of six (among many other full tables) but we never waited for service, whether to order our food or get additional drinks.
I love that they offer a gluten-free pizza crust AND nondairy cheese AND vegan Italian sausage - try finding any of those ingredients within a hundred-mile radius.
Tom, the owner, is friendly and seems to befriend all the guests. Most in my group were regulars there and we all felt at home, easy and comfortable. We must have stayed five hours(?)
As it turns out, it's not a good place for a business discussion - it's too lively for that, but we had time for drinks, appetizers, a nice pause, and then a slow, wonderful dinner - and even a birthday dessert. I love not being rushed through a meal just because the restaurant wants to seat another party. Bombfire, plus Tom and his crew, are doing a lot of things right.
