We chanced across this small town eatery through friends. We also had the prime-rib dinner (which was delicious) and would like to return to have other items from this (mostly) locally sourced restaurant. The chef and his wife are personable and interested in others' dining experiences as a way of having the world come to them. Having said this, it really does offer 5-star quality food and service without the pretentiousness and insultingly small serving sizes found in typical "upscale" restaurants. The wine list is interesting, the ambience wonderful and the service warm and attentive. The restaurant is less than one-half hour south of the #1 Trans Canada Highway directly south of Gull Lake, SK. Make the trip as I'm sure you will not be disappointed. At this time, they are open for lunch from Tue-Fri and dinner from Thu to Sat. However, I would advise phoning ahead as the owner is still experimenting with hours of operation (they opened July 1, 2013). It is worth the scenic drive along the Cypress foothills on a nicely paved road!
