“Ah no to Arno.”
Reviewed March 9, 2014 via mobile

This place was a little disappointing. It's was in the middle of a renovation of the BBQ area that looked like it was taking a very long time to complete and it was not very safe. The park had a bad smell of sewage. We were camping so we would usually rely heavily on the parks facilities. There was no where for us to take shelter to go out of the wind. We ended up using the park facilities next door instead as they were much nicer. To be brutally honest the place looked run down and needs a good tidy up. The pub across the road would probably have been a better option.

It is not our fault if the police came looking for, I am not going to lie and say that you were not here. The BBQ area was finished in 4 weeks, you wanted to pay for half a site at half the rate and you still were unhappy at sharing the other half of the site, please make your mind up next time.

We have just stayed there for the fifth year in a row, we love the place, and the owners are very friendly to the point of spoiling their guests. The newly introduced Wednesday night fish and chips (whiting and prawns with salad) for $12 is an instant winner, along with the bbq night and Sunday morning pancakes, which all encourage interaction between guests. Long term friendships have been initiated as a result of these communal get togethers. The cabins are clean and comfortable, and the van sites are spacious, with connections for tv's on all powered sites. The owners are always talking about what improvements they can make, and we have seen plenty of improvements in the five years we have been going there. Can't wait to see the new bbq area. If you play a guitar and sing, you can make yourself very popular at the bbq and fish n chip nights!!!
It is not remote at all, as it is on the main highway from Adelaide to Port Lincoln.

We stayed at Arno Bay Caravan Park after Christmas. The Park is clean, the amenities also and the service is lovely. But it is located in a very remote area of the Eyre Peninsula. Arno Bay is a very small village without many facilities except of fishing. So if you want to experience more than fishing, this would be the wrong place to go.

Loved the Sat night BBQ for $12, enables you to mix socially with other travellers and extra bonus is that they donate profit to local charity. Cabin clean and laundry was cheap. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.

Lovely little caravan park with excellent staff.. Nothing too much trouble. Great location on the beach, dog friendly and nice little town with wonderful wetlands walk built by local community (volunteers).

This is our second stay here and wont be our last. Warm welcome and great service. Comfortable clean accommodation of all levels, from basic sites to villas. Amenities clean and tidy at all times. Love the piped music in the amenities block - cheery even on grey days. Well behaved pets made very welcome (even a dog wash available for after a sea swim).
Cryovac meats and seafood from kiosk along with friendly helpful advice about fishing and other activities in the area. Quiet location listening to sea on beach only a few metres away.
Great boardwalk short walk from caravan park and you can spend a few hours there.
Well done to Steven, Allan & Cath for keeping up the standard of the park, gardens and the customer service.

Arno Bay Caravan park is located on the seaside, you walk straight into the jetty!
We only stayed one night there and we regret that...should have stayed there for a week. Ideally located between Whyalla and Port Lincoln if you are visiting both places.
