“Fine dining in the vineyards”
Reviewed March 6, 2013 via mobile

A delicious velouté oh mushrooms followed by an elegant stuffed chicken leg with Mediterranean flavors for 24 chf at lunch time is worth the detour in this small village. Generous portions, service full of attention but not overdone. Can't wait to go back at dinner time. Not the typical Auberge but much more sophisticated.

“Best in area”
Reviewed October 12, 2012 via mobile

One of the better restaurants in the area with creative cooking and a menu that changes regularly. Very attentive staff and very good service. A little expensive.

“3 G”
Reviewed August 21, 2012

Good view, Good service, Good food !
The view is very relaxing, just fine to enjoy a good meal. The staff is very customer oriented and very efficient to give any details about the different courses of the menus and make suggestion about the wine to drink with the food. They have a sense of humor, which is not always the case in this type of restaurant. As far as the food is concerned, it is very south west of France oriented, and sometimes revisited for the best. Plenty of different tastes makes your mouth water and enjoy every part of it.

“Food Good, Service Not So Good”
Reviewed May 22, 2012

I consider the service I receive to be as important as the food. On this occasion the service was not good enough. I ordered a drink at the bar but was kept waiting for at least five minutes until it was poured. Some important looking businessmen in suits were being given priority. Regular customers or the promise of a big tip perhaps? I don’t know but I certainly felt as if I was low(er) priority. The waitress actually seemed to have forgotten I had placed my order with her.
I was not offered a table in the main restaurant (to be fair, I could not see if any were free). I ended up with a table in the bar area together with the other lone diners. No view of the lake for me.
The food arrived promptly. It was good enough but for the prices they were charging it should be. Portions were fairly generous. The Salade Verte was uninspired. The Cassoulet I had for main course was thoroughly enjoyable but for CHF39 they could have thrown in some vegetables. Fromage to finish – nice enough selection and enough of it.
Perhaps my review is somewhat harsh but my first impressions were poor. My money is as good as anyone else’s – allowing a customer to see others receive preferential treatment is completely unacceptable.

“Superb View- food is good”
Reviewed January 26, 2012

Have been at least a half dozen times in the last year and generally the dishes are tasty. The menu is handwritten on a board and rolled around from table to table- and the waiter walks you throw the options- a nice touch. Booking is recommended and the service is generally very good. Some dishes are OK whilst others are good- but I've never had my socks knocked off so my overall review is only 'average'.
