For those of you who are not familiar with the rorschach test, it is an inkblot test of different patterns to analyze one's psychological perceptions. That being said, the Smokey Row Coffee Shop in Oskaloosa, IA. is one of they most unpredictable cafes I have ever frequented in every facets. The drinks (coffee, latte, seasonal blends, everything!) may taste great one day and taste foul the next. The food is all pre-made/frozen, so if non-fresh food floats your boat, you will be in good hands. The baristas range from amazing and competent to very quiet and extremely lazy (aka. does not give a [--] attitude).
The manager is a great man who truly cares about the coffee shop business, however he needs to crack down on the staff and look into different venues for better quality of food. I implore the people of this site to continue going to Smokey Row, but speak up for the quality of the food and beverages you are consuming. Half of the people that work here are amazing and will listen to customer constructive criticism. Oskaloosa is a fine town that deserves a better quality of a coffee shop.
I leave the detailed ratings blank because of how widely inconsistent everything about this coffee shop is and can be.
A final point, the rice-krispie treats are the only things made freshly in house. Huzzah!
