We stayed 1 night on a weekend. Our Room was ready for an early afternoon check in and was clean and met basic hotel requirements. Staff was friendly and courteous! Bed was comfortable.

Staying on the cheap to play in a tournament in Marshalltown.

Rooms are usually pretty clean, but I had a major issue with the tv remote, as in, none would work. We got 4 replacement remotes, each with new batteries but to no avail. Fairly quiet place, and at a good price. Friendly staff, and close enough to downtown. In a previous stay, they also had an issue with the toilet, but they switched rooms with no hassle. In all, not a bad place, and when I return I'll come back. The rooms are a bit dated, but that doesn't bother me.

Stayed on a Saturday night during Iowa State Fair and was concerned about what kind of hotel we would get in a recessed economy for $55 a night. The answer? Quite a nice one.

This is by no means a Sheraton, but the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning and TV worked, there was a microwave and fridge in the room and the bathroom was in good condition (not withstanding the stupid low-flow showerhead.)

Overall for a one night stay on a trip in which I was choosing to spend my money on other activites, I was very happy at this property.

I expected a modest facility with a low rate and that is pretty much what I received. The staff was friendly and helpful, a requested change in the location of the room was made with no fuss.

The room was as spacious as more expensive hotels, and the microwave and refrigerator larger than at most other facilities. The facility is set back from the main road and is relatively quiet, but you are surrounded by concrete and next door to a Wendy's and a Perkins.

Amenities were hit and miss, there was a coffee maker in the room, but only one decaf serving was provided, and even that was not replaced the second day. The shampoo packet was minimal and hard to open in the shower. The free breakfast was almost non-existent.

I had a last minute change in plans and was allowed to cancel my second night's stay at Noon with no objection and a friendly helpfulness. After a poor experience with the staff at my previous hotel the day before it was a pleasant surprise to deal with people that enjoyed their job and wanted to make their customer's stay a pleasant one.

What a great crew!!! Each employee went way out of their way to make sure I had everythink that I wanted!! I am older and one desk clerk even made sure I got my things to my room. I had stayed here in the past, but is now under new management, and you can tell a big difference!! Rooms are clean and for a great price!! I would have paid more without a dought for the service I recieved this last weekend!! The large amount of pillows provided were all new and very comfortable! The breakfast has a large variety & very good taste, and even healthy - very neat presentation.
I would recommend staying here and renting the pool across the street! You wont regret it!! The friendly service alone is worth more than I paid for the room!! If I come back to this town, i will stay here again without a dought!

  • Liked — Comfortable Bedding with extra pillows
  • Disliked — had to go upstairs for the vending machines

From the outside this hotel (motel) looks like a basic economy hotel. However once to my room I was pleasantly surprised. My room had a 27" new tv with tons of channels, new carpet, fast wireless internet, and even a curved shower rod. Also, the bedding was new, and the mattress sooooo comfortable. Its good to know that the owner apparently cares about providing a good experience. There is a small excercise room with new equipment as well, though I do not think there is a pool. For the rate I paid which was $47 plus tax, this motel was perfect for what I needed (place to sleep and communicate with my laptop)

  • Liked — New mattresses, wireless interenet worked well
  • Disliked — Front desk area is a little messy ( cant think of anything else ! )
