We had an all inclusive stay for a week at Sept. 2013. The location of the hotel is as described by hotels own info: very good beach, nice and quiet surroundings, with a small distance to the nearest village and apr. 30 min drive with taxi (25E) to Chania. So if you want to party in the evenings this is not your place, but if you prefer a nice relaxing stay it is good choice. Also there was programs in the evenings for some entertainment.
The room was in good shape, bed was very good to sleep in. Enough space and the seaside view was great. Bathroom was also in good shape. There was also a well equipped small kitchen closset. Room was well kept during the week, some days the floor was not wiped so well but allinall good roomcleaning. Only thing we found funny was that the hotel advertizes to be environmentally aware, but still the towels were changed everyday even though not left on the floor as instructed..
The beach is good, some small stones depending on how much there are waves in the ocean, but mostly it is sand. Pool area is also well kept. Enough sunbeds for all quests.
The size of the hotel is good: not too big but not too small either, nice mood. Staff was friendly and plenty.
Food was a bit boring for a weeks all incl. Salad buffet was fresh everyday and good ingredients and good choises. Also desserts were good and plenty. But the warm buffet was mostly the same from luch to dinner and day to day with only small variations. Snacks served on the beach restaurant were good.
Animation team was organizing all kinds of activities during the day and also evening program. Good job.
All in all if the food section would have been better this would have been a top point place!
If you are brave enough rent a car and go for a drive in to the small villages in the mountines. We would recommend also eg. Imbros gorge, which was a nice 2,5 hour walk. Take good shoes!
