“Good and Not so Good”
Reviewed October 28, 2013 via mobile

The good. The food is excellent, and with many healthy options. You can get all dishes without extra fat and cheese. The guacamole is also very good. The setting is very nice as well, clean and close to the river. Service was good, not great (young, friendly, but inexperienced servers on our visit).
The bad. Prices. What is up? We stopped here on the way to a Chicago visit, and this is the one place we thought was overpriced for the weekend. Almost double what I would pay for comparable fare in Omaha.
Overall, I would return, but I would explore other options first.

“Great Find”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

We stopped for lunch and everything was delicious! Homemade chips and guacamole were great, had 3 baskets of the chips for the 4 of us, couldn't stop eating them! Margaritas were not real sweet very fresh tasting. Steak quesadillas were really good and very large portions. We took half of everything home. Our waitress was very attentive. Would for sure eat there again.

“Good food and homemade salsa”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

We stopped here for lunch ad was glad that we did. IT was very good food. The salsa and chips are made fresh. The waitstaff were hussling to keep up but sis a great job. Food was served fast and hot even with how busy it was.
I had the carne asada tostados and my son had the enchiladas - all was very good. The meal size was a very healthy (or unhealty give how you may look at it) size!

“Popular place in a good location”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for appetizers and a margarita. When we arrived it was very busy and tables were hard to come by. After a short wait we were seated, it took approx 5 minutes before we were waited on. We saw 1 table of 4 leave due to the lack of attention. Once we started to receive service it was timely and good service. The appetizer (guac) and drinks were good. I'm giving Blue Iguana an average rating due to the slow service, based on the quality of food and friendly service I won't hesitate to give them another shot next time we're in town.

“Good location for people watching”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

Patio seating at both the front (next to the road), and the back (river view) of the restaurant, as well as indoor seating. The chips that came with salsa we're greasy, salsa was best when green and red we're mixed. The food was okay, nothing to jump up and down about, we ordered an Asada Taco Salad and Enchiladas Verdes. Service was good, prices seemed somewhat inflated, the ladies room was like walking into a phone booth. Next visit would more likely be just for drinks on the patio!
