Everything with my stay was perfect. The rooms were clean, spacious and very well priced for the quality. The food was also excellent along with the choice of drinks at the bar. We really enjoyed our stay however the one thing that was disappointing was when we went for dinner and the service was particularly poor.

We felt ignored by our waiter. He was called Adam if I recall correctly. He seemed to be focused on one table which appeared to be his parents who were also dining. He spent the majority of the time talking to. We had to actually approach him to get his attention.
He didn't seem to care about the other tables. This was very unprofessional and I had to go to the bar to pay to a much friendlier chap.

All our wedding guests would like to thank everyone at The Bell Inn for making our wedding the most amazing weekend of our lives. We booked exclusive use of the hotel and all it's facilities in Feb 2013. The quality of the food, accommodation and service is out of this world and even better considering the prices. The food is seasonal, locally sourced and all made on site. The accommodation is spacious, extremely clean and all our guests commented on how comfortable the beds are! But the icing on the cake is the staff. They manage to be knowledgable, helpful and professional whilst being incredibly personable and entertaining.
Our stay couldn't have been any better

We live locally so don't often stay at the Bell, but this was our third overnight visit in 6 years and as we were attending their recent Local Game Evening we decided to treat ourselves and stay over as they were doing a really good rate.
In a nutshell we had a fabulous evening meal and a comfortable bed for the night plus a really fab breakfast all for less than £100 per couple.
ALL the staff are extremely pleasant and professional.
Tracy the receptionist who managed our booking was very responsive and welcoming,
The bar and restaurant staff were great, and the evening meal was delicious, so compliments to all the kitchen staff!
Our bedroom was clean, warm and comfortable and although the road outside is busy as Forest roads go, the secondary double glazing ensured we had a good nights sleep.
We have eaten at many 4/5 star Hotels and can honestly say the breakfast at the Bell was one of the best we have ever had. Coupled with the lovely Spanish waiter Alfonso who presides over the breakfast proceedings it was a very enjoyable start to the day!
Would highly recommend as a place to stay and it is in a beautiful part of the Forest to boot.
Will definitely be going back!

Lovely hotel, great value, good food especially in the evening. The breakfast was a bit chaotic especially when they were catering for a large group who were also staying at the same time. Loud music both evenings but finished both nights before midnight. It would have been more of a concern if I had children with me. Would definitely stay again

Room Tip: Ask if there is a function on, and if so, ask for one at the front

We've just returned from a 3 night stay at this Inn. The reception staff were really helpful, the rooms cleaned to a high standard every day and extremely warm despite the thick snow outside. Full cooked breakfast each morning with lots of choice and Alfonso the Spanish waiter added to the friendliness of the Inn. We would highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting the new forest.

Great hotel. Welcome was brilliant and felt at home instantly. Room was spacious and very cheap for what it was. It's in a beautiful location and very close to another pub (good beer and food).
Bathroom was slightly dated, loud music below until 11.30 and an average breakfast (was a buffet which wasn't quite stocked up) only took a slight edge off a lovely hotel.

Golf course looked good.

Room Tip: Maybe ask for the 2nd floor as we could hear music from the ground floor. Not sure where from.
