Stayed for two nights, fab food, very cosy bar with huge log fire, friendly staff and good sized, well equipped bedroom. There is a golf course opposite the hotel but as we did not use this facility we cannot rate the course. Would recommend a visit to the Beaulieu attraction which is only a 20 minute drive away. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed for a New Year Break and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only downside was that the golf courses weren't fully open which was a reflection on the appaling weather rather than the hotel. Our room was spacious clean and comfortable although there was a bit of noise from the corridor from other guests talking at the top of their voices early in the morning when retuning to thier rooms but this isn't a fault of the hotel management more inconsiderate guests. The staff are friendly, helpful and understanding. We've been elsewhere for New Year celebrations but can honestly say this was the best food we've ever had for both evening meals. We'll be returning later in 2013 when the weather has picked up and the golf courses are open. Good value. The hotel is ideally situated for visiting Salisbury, Winchester and other towns and places of interest in and around the New Forest. It's also easy to get to by car. Recommended!

Thank you for spending your New Year with us, your review is very much appreciated. Your comments on the food will certainly please the kitchen team. It was a shame you couldn't play some golf, but it will be nice to see you with warmer weather in 2013.

The Bell Inn is nicely placed when we travel to or from Southampton railway, airport or shops. A mile or so West of the Cadnam junction -where the M27 morphs into the A31 - Brook village is picturesque and there are often the characteristic ponies on the New Forest roadside verges. The location is home to a golf club and the bar can be busy with those either snacking or partaking of the full menu. Invariably a wonderful open fire warms the atmosphere. The staff cope manfully and our twice baked blue Vinny souffle, beetroot & walnut cream and a chicken, bacon, lettuce and mayonnaise sandwich on brown bread were well crafted - particularly the former. The consistency of offer has been present for some lengthy time in this homely establishment.

We returned to The Bell to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary, having held our wedding reception here, and experiencing a blip in the normally high standard of service earlier in the year.

The food in the restaurant was delicious and very well presented, with tasty nibbles to start and the chicken liver parfait and lamb rump being particularly noteworthy. We followed the "wines of the month" which included the best Shiraz we'd ever tasted.

After dinner coffee and drinks in the cosy bar ended a perfect evening spent with our family.

Our room was spacious and finished to a high standard, and breakfast superb with quality ingredients including a splendid black pudding.

Thanks to Neil Lewis and staff for an excellent stay and for restoring our faith in a place that is very special to us.

I stayed 2 nights again not been here for a few years now. Room was very good service and food what can I say well prepared service excellent, nice friendly staff warm welcome as before. Thought Richie might still be here was a shame must have gone to pastures new. He went that extra mile for a single guy staying even down to room service. very accommodating.
