The chalets are simply stunning, just a few meters away form the sea. It's wonderful to eat outside having the blue ocean just beside. The rooms are good equipped and very clean. The chalet we stayed is perfect. The place is private which includes the perfect sunrise beachfront with wonderful aquamarine creatures if you are into snorkeling.
The staff is helpful and informative in places you should visit, supermarket close to the chalet and fantastic restaurants to feed your appetite as it is self catering.
We stayed in a one bedroom chalet with all the necessary things you need in your stay. They provide wifi access but it is slow since you are in an island and it is usually down between 7 to 10am other than that the place is superb.

We are on the last day (of fourteen) at Chalets d'Anse Forbans. It has been the most wonderfully relaxing time and I highly recommend this venue for those seeking privacy and peace and quiet. The location of the site is perfect - away from the capital Victoria, but still only a short bus ride into town. The chalets are only twenty or so meters from the sea/beach which, although there are officially no private beaches in the Seychelles, may just as well have been exclusively for the use of the guests. There is plenty of space around each chalet to lie undisturbed on the sun loungers or eat at the table on your own (covered) verandah area. We were often alone on the beach and a busy day maybe saw five people on the 300 meters of sand. The fourteen individual Chalets (seven groups of two) are well spaced out and offer a great deal of privacy. Where possible, the owners will place guests in one of the seven blocks alone, (i.e without some in the chalet next door) offering further privacy. Inside, the chalets themselves are spotlessly clean with adequate facilities for cooking. Housemaids visit each morning. Towels, including beach towels are provided. The site is secure and (more or less) manned 24x7. Our hosts are a charming family, who live very nearby. They have been especially attentive to us and the other guests, without being intrusive. Although we initially booked for ten days and were hoping to move to another part of the island for the last few days of our visit, we quickly decided that Chalet d'Anse Forbans was possibly the best available, and we extended our stay to cover the entire duration of our stay on Mahe (I have also submitted a separate review of the island for those seeking one)

The Chalets d'Anser Forbans are incredible. Forget about the expensive Hotels on Mahé. The Bungalows have all you need for a perfect holiday - and cooking your own fresh food from the market is so much more fun!! Everything is perfectly clean, the beach is beautiful and the staff is super friendly. Also the situation could not be better...with a rental car you have a perfect place to start exploring...

We stayed here for 3 nights and found it to be a lovely place. Everything you need is right at your doorstep, including a picture postcard stretch of beach! The kitchen is well-equipped and the attention to detail is faultless. We arrived to find bread and milk in the fridge, plus a pot of locally made confiture. The highlight was a fresh coconut ready to be consumed.
Brigitte and Daphne welcomed us and advised us on a number of things, including advice on a wound my stepdaughter sustained during our time in La Digue.
If you're an early riser the sunrise is second to none.
Really lovely stay. We will be back!

I have read all reports about chalets d'anse forbans and they are all true! The place is perfect: quiet, no crowd with only 8 bungalows, a great beach and the recently refurnished bungalows are really nice. The only downside was the relatively poor snorkeling there but it is still nice to look out for fish. Perfect location close to really beautiful beaches.
We stayed there with our two sons (4 years and 4 months old) and they both enjoyed it very much :)
