Kalona is a small town and it is nice to find a clean, comfortable place to stay for the Gospel Music Fest that we attend each year. The staff is friendly and helpful. We've come to recognize fellow guests and there is a feeling of safety.

God bless you and thank you. A nice room to stay and perfect spot from family house. Loved that it was right in the splash of town. Could use a little color on exterior but over all it is a cute place

I loved this sweet little motel! It was the first motel on our trip that my daughter and I did not feel the need to immediately whip out the sanitizing wipes and wipe everything down. Kudos to the owners and the housekeeping staff! The whole atmosphere of the motel was very peaceful.

This lodging has a one-story motel in front and a two-story hotel in the back. No elevator. Very friendly staff, both on the phone while reserving a room (called because our group had a special reservation) and during our stay. The room as well as the public areas, were very tidy and clean. The room had all the typical amenities: hair dryer, microwave, small refrigerator, iron, ironing board and coffee/tea station. Mini shampoo, lotion and soaps provided. Large flat screen TV and thermostat was easy to use and responsive. When we first sat on the bed, we thought they were going to be too soft but it was actually very comfortable with many pillows so one could make their choice. The bedside clock also had a charging station for our phone. Bath towels were soft and fluffy. You can get adjoining rooms here. The windows open so you can catch a breeze if you like. Located at the corner of Iowa highways 1 and 22. Grocery store is right around the corner, within easy walking distance. The downtown area is a few blocks east of this location. Breakfast is minimal but adequatel: fruit, 2 kinds of cereal, homemade cinnamon rolls from a local bakery, milk, juice, coffee. Overall very nice and comfortable lodging. It should be said that there are not many hotels this nice at this price point. I recommend it and I would definitely stay here again.
