“A good restaurant for Sunday meals with the family.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2013

A good and complete menu which caters to family get togethers and older couples. A long standing tradition in and around the Des Moines area.

“Excellent service and food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2013

Only been here twice but both experiences were great. Service is definitely top notch and the food follows along with this. Definitely try out the drink menu, their martinis are poured right at your table. Best part is the menu changes with the seasons, both times Ive been there, the menu was completely different.

Love coming here for special occasions and will be coming back for more!

“very nice place to dine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 26, 2013

This is one of our favorite places to eat. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding. The hostess greets you with a smile and pleasant greeting and will check on your meal during the evening. The menu has a nice selection and there is usually a nice selection of additional specials - often seasonal and featuring local produce. Their pizzas are very good and will feed two people.
Wednesdays are often half-price bottles of wine (Wine Down Wednesdays) - a nice promotion and good value.
It is a fun place to eat. There is outdoor dining, dependent of the weather.

“Really Excellent Steak”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013 via mobile

Had dinner with a group of nine tonight. Pretty good wine list to start with, though they don't have a ton of choices by the glass. Our group ordered a few appetizers, the boursin mushrooms were delicious, lobster rangoon, not so great. I had the beef tenderloin with asparagus, crab, and bearnaise sauce and I have to say, it was the best steak I have had at a restaurant in many years, maybe ever. Perfectly cooked at medium rare, melt in your mouth tender. Dinner comes with salad, which was also very good with blue cheese dressing, and warm bread. While the food was excellent the service was quite slow. Yes, there were nine of us, but there were not many other customers and it is a fairly large place. All together, a really good meal-- for two of us, with three beers and two glasses of wine plus gratuity, $108. Definitely recommend!

Who are they trying to impress. Food was cold and tasteless. Over priced for the amount. Will not return
